I ordered a sideboard from this company. When I opened the box it was very poorly packaged with minimal padding and the sideboard had large chips, dents, scratches and other significant damage.

I immediately sent them photos of all the damage to try and get the return process started asap... they strung it out for two weeks, continually saying "We are still working on the resolution to your claim" (no they weren't). Until finally they told me that all they could offer me was a 50% refund since the damages were not noted on the delivery paperwork, so they could not send a replacement or accept the return.

Apparently I was supposed to make the delivery guy wait with me while I unboxed this thing and inspected it.. I legitimately did not know this was a policy. It certainly wasn't made clear to me...

Rather than acting like genuine, understanding human beings and recognizing that their customer received a badly damaged piece of furniture that they DO NOT want to put in their house, they chose to hide behind "company policies" instead, so that they could keep $632.49 of my money.

I'm in the process of disputing the charge through my credit card company, but just know before you order from these guys, if something goes wrong, helping you out is NOT going to be a priority. Their bottom line is getting your money, not ensuring you get a good product or have a good customer experience.

Please spend your money elsewhere and support a retailer who actually CARES about their customers.

Seriously ... I have been buying furniture from CFW for clients for years and I have never been inclined to write a review until now. The simple fact is that I was a happy customer - and I guess happy customers don't write reviews. After reading some reviews from you haters out there (yes you - who clearly wold be better off at going to your local Target .. where they offer unlimited returns) I feel I have to make things right.

Don't ever buy anything from here. Their website is deceiving and when you attempt to return anything, they will hit you with outrageously high "outbound shipping fees". DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE OF BUYING ANYTHING FROM THEM!!

Had a great experience with Contemporary Furniture Warehouse - not only do they have some great products - but - and most importantly - their customer service was outstanding! This is an online retailer you can trust to back up their products - and - go the extra mile should something happen in the process.

When the first 8x10 rug that I ordered arrived, the color was not like that on the screen. I spoke with [name removed] in customer service, who was incredibly helpful. I sent her some photos and she processed an exchange seamlessly - including a home FedEx pick up paid for by CFW. She followed up with me several times throughout the process and generally eliminated any concerns that I had in ordering something from an online "warehouse." I would definitely shop here again, especially since the rug that I ultimately received was PERFECT. Thanks!

The product I purchased didn't look like the photo so I asked to return... this is what they replied when I wanted to send back...

Item cost: $158.20

Re-stocking fee: 25%

Actual outgoing shipping cost: $23.98-$14.95= $9.23

Total refund after re-stocking fee and actual outgoing shipping cost: $109.62

Additionally you'll be responsible for the Return Shipping Cost

So basically I am losing 50% because of their exorbitant and robbery fees.

I work with many vendors and have never experienced that before.

I am somewhat of a price shopper and these guys definately has it down. The best price I could find on great modern furniture online.
