**do Not Buy From These People

**DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS SAPPHIRE & CO UK t/a Diamond Boutique (and whatever they call their business next). My partner purchased a tanzanite and diamond platinum engagement ring from Diamond Boutique (DB) in December 2021 and he proposed to me in March 2022. Diamond Boutique is the trading name for Sapphire & Co UK Ltd (11000344). In August 2022 I noticed that the ring was misshapen and a diamond had fallen out. We spoke to Pritish Vegad at DB and he asked us to return the ring for 'inspection' via Royal Mail Special Delivery. The ring was delivered the next day, however DB insisted they had never received it. Months of stressful discussions continued and it was only when I contacted the local press that DB agreed to replace the ring. I finally received a 2nd ring on 24th November 2022. On 24th December 2022 I noticed that a diamond had fallen out and it was misshapen again. By 26th December 3 diamonds had fallen out and the ring was so misshapen I could barely get it off my finger - it hurt to do so. Again, Pritesh asked us to return the ring and he would 'investigate' it. I met Pritesh in London to hand over the ring personally. After weeks of 'investigation' Pritesh offered the solution that the ring be re-set in white gold, as it is a harder (if cheaper) metal than platinum. Although not ideal, we agreed to this in order to just have an engagement ring that lasted. The new ring finally arrived on Thursday 23rd March 2023 and by Tuesday 27th March not only had a diamond fallen out but the whole 'crown' of the ring where the tanzanite is set, had snapped clean off. I contacted Pritesh the next morning to explain and ask for a full refund as, 3 rings later, and it is clear that all products were fit for purpose under the Consumer Act and we are entitled to a 'no-quibble' refund by 22nd April 2023 for this latest ring. Regardless, none of the rings have been fit for purpose and all of unsatisfactory quality for a ring that cost £6000 and is supposed to last a lifetime. It took Pritesh 4 days to reply and when he did, his response was, to paraphrase; "How unusual. I have some sad news, we are closing the business, we are taking no more orders. End of the Road, All the Best". I have cited the Customer Act to him, told him that we want a refund and I have recieved no further responses. I have been researching the business online and it would appear that Pritesh and the other Directors have a long history of selling faulty jewellery and then closing the current business, only to start another one and do the same again. Purchasing from this company has completely ruined the experience of getting engaged for us, caused us huge amounts of stress and upset and has resulted in us having to cancel our wedding venue because it feels wrong to organise a wedding when we haven't even got the engagement ring. This has incurred extra costs on top of the loss of £6000 for the ring. These men need to be stopped before someone else gets hurt the way we have.

Please Don’t Go Near This Company

Long long story short bought one of their more expensive engagement rings, within a few months the first ring lost diamonds and became slight misshapen. Secondly ring was sent to them recorded delivery and they claimed not to have it even tho tracking and ring was signed for at their office. Months and months of stress he agreed to make a new ring for us. Had the ring back for 6 days and it’s broken and missing diamond and is now claiming that the company is going bust. Disgusted With Service And Quality.

after supplying a dress ring that I wanted making into one made of precious metal and stones, the design sent back looked nothing like the supplied ring. when I queried this (before placing my order) I was told that the new design will prevent the stones falling out. I accepted this advice and then proceeded with the order. The ring arrived as designed in time for Christmas and my wife was happy.

within 8 months I had lost a stone so sent it back for replacement. It was returned and within 2 months another stone had fell out so I returned it again. After chasing for two weeks the ring was returned but with the stones in a different design.

Requested refund but the MD did not want to take responsibility for goods not fit for purpose of as designed.

Shoddy Ring Lost A Stone Within A Year

Purchased an engagement ring with Diamond Boutique in January. In August my fiancee noticed a stone missing. Upon sending to DB, they informed me of how the ring became damaged, absolutely ridiculous, claiming that someone must have caught it and pulled on it, causing the stone to come loose. The reason the stone came loose is because of the shoddy 'prongs' they clearly fitted to the ring. Tried to charge me £40 to repair their own defective product.

Low quality, money grabbers, avoid at all costs!

Hi,

Thanks for your review and sorry to see that you are not happy with the outcome.

The prong on your ring was broken which usually indicates that it was caught on something. To repair the prong , replace and reset the diamond, we are charging you £40 which covers the cost only. We don't make money on repair work.

Also as you were unhappy we suggested that the ring is sent off for an independent assessment which you declined.

You have now accepted for us to complete the repair and will get the ring back to you asap.

Apologies for any inconvenience.

Regards,

Pritesh

Fantastic

I can't thank you & your team enough for all your help & advice. My future hubby designed my wedding band & it's more beautiful than I imagined it would be .

You were so kind & understanding when l called you about the size issue l had following major surgery on my hand. You were all so kind & eased my upset & anguish, which helped me immensely, especially when you told me you could resize the ring. It was so quick & it fits perfectly, thanks to your advice.

Thank you so much.. I can't wait for my ring to be in the place where it's made for & show it off. Thank you.

Not Trustable Company

I bought a ring from Diamond Boutique for the price of £795. After

receiving the ring and actually seeing it in life both me and partner

didn't like it.  Same day I requested the

return instructions and then returned it four working days later as I could not

do it earlier because of my work. When they received it they started

accusing me of wearing the ring and making scratches. And even when they

sent me the pictures of the ring with scratches it was not obvious that

it was the same ring I purchased. I told them that the ring was not

worn at all and I have sent it back in the same state as I received it. I

have not received any news from them for 10 days until I emailed them

and told that I will take legal action if they do not refund the money.

They told me that they gonna take £50 off the ring and I assumed this was so they can polish it

and as a result they can sell it to someone else. I believe this is not

fair, I have reported this matter to Trading Standards and will

continue take all possible legal actions against Diamond Boutique.

Hi Arvin,

Thanks for your review.

To clarify the dates, you placed an order on the 11th April, requested a return on the 13th April and we received the item back on the 19th April.

All items are checked twice before they are sent out. This is one of the steps in the Diamond Boutique quality process. Items are not sent out unless they are in perfect condition, which is why we were surprised to see it in that condition.

When we inspected the ring on its return there were noticeable signs of wear. The white gold had scratches on it, specifically on the outer lower base of the band. This is where the ring comes into contact with everyday surfaces, such as tables, door handles etc.

When we asked if the ring had been worn you said no and that you had photos and videos to prove that we sent you the ring in that condition. When we asked to see them you declined.

When we sent you photos of the ring you became very defensive, quite threatening and immediately stated we maliciously sabotaged the ring in the hope that we wouldn't have to issue a refund. This is not the case as we pride ourselves on the high level of customer service and the quality of our products, which can be seen in numerous reviews.

You then emailed us to say you lost the photos and videos on holiday. If you would have sent these photos to us we could have compared and resolved the issue as quickly as possible. We requested to see them in the event we did send the ring out in that condition.

We have policies in place to protect both the customer and us. After careful consideration, we provided an option for you to return the used ring for a refund however you would have to pay £50 for us to refill the gold and polish the scratches out. When polishing gold you lose weight therefore it is important that you refill to maintain the quality. You agreed to this proposal and we refunded you the same day.

I’m positive most companies wouldn't even offer this option and reject the return request for items, which show signs of wear. This is normal practice. In hindsight we should have done the same.

I’m sorry we were not able to meet your expectations and wish you the best for the future.

Magnificent Bespoke Engagement Ring

I have just received the bespoke Amethyst and Diamond ring that I have had made for my partner. She wanted an Amethyst ring in memory of her Mum and saw one on the website that she liked.

After discussion we adapted the ring from the website slightly to her taste and had it made specifically.

Form the very beginning of the process it has been a pleasure to deal with the company. From the design and planning through to delivery, communication has been superb and nothing has been too much trouble

Also, the value for money is exceptional for 18k gold when compared with high street prices. All of the equivalent cost rings were 9k in the shops

We have already begun discussions about the wedding ring being made to match!! Now I just need to find a way for the proposal to match the stunning piece of jewellery that Diamond Boutique have supplied

Amazing Product, Good Staff, Pricing And Delivery.

Was very doubtful at first, having purchased less than satisfactory goods on the internet. Web chat with Pritesh put my mind at rest, knowing I could return goods with no hassle. Amethyst diamond ring arrived the next day, stunning quality, far better than the pictures, wonderful clear modern cut stones that really are brilliant.

Really nice to have a good web buying experience.

Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend

My wife has always liked a particular ring that a well know television presenter wears on occasions.

Having downloaded an image of this ring I sent it off to Diamond boutique asking if they were able to replicate it.

Within 24hours they replied and started a search for an appropriate stone.

Within 2 days a Vidio of a stone was sent to me for my approval.

Once approved, the team quickly came up with drawings and ideas to recreate the ring my wife had always wanted.

Once I approved the final drawings I was asked to send a 25% deposit.

Throughout the whole process of them designing and making the ring I was regularly updated with pictures and images.

The whole process took around 8 weeks.

The end result was perfect, and exactly as they said it would be. Once the final payment had been made it came next day delivery. It was packaged beautifully and came with its own passport and a years guarantee.

I would wholly trust and recommend this company to produce any item they were asked to do.

Thanks guys.
