Online Optician is liquidated/bankrupt, but still take your money, He has taken my hard earned money, no refund after asking and asking, no response to many, many emails and telphone answer machine messages.

This company will take your money and then never deliver anything. They do not respond when contacted on customer support. They are likely hoping that you place the order and then forget about it so they can take the money and run.

This is a very shady company and it's extremely hit and miss in terms of whether or not they will actually fulfill your order; a lot of people have also claimed that their orders arrived with incorrect measurements/frames/etc.

Do not do business with this company under any circumstances.

Paid for my spex to be reglazed in May 2023. They DID send an envelope to mail out, but this is where the problems began. No acknowledgment at all. A month later tried calling them but no response at all. Then I received this email:

"Hi,

Unfortunately, we have recently had a number of unforeseen failures with IT & lens equipment, although resolved, this has caused a backlog & delays which we apologize for.

We can progress the order if you wish and will send a paypal link to you as advised "

I already had my doubts but since they had my frame and £30 as an initial deposit, I sent another £30 thru PayPal. Absolutely nothing since. Tired of waiting I contacted Paypal. Even before I finished typing the refund request, Paypal instantly refunded the later payment of £30. Clearly, Paypal is aware of them and are only too happy to refund customers who have been tricked by these people. Do not use them under any circumstances!

Took the money immediately then would not meet my order without a recent prescription (I wanted an 'intermediate' strength for driving, not for reading). Fair enough, but when I cancelled the order they failed to refund or to reply to emails and I had to request a charge back from my credit card company. Wish I'd checked the review sites as their reputation for customer service is terrible.

Beware of this company, Ordered glasses in October, told roughly two weeks to deliver,chased on 11th of November and was told they would get back to me, they never did.

When I put up this review they cancelled the order 2 months after it was placed, but they still have not refunded the money

They contacted me (finally) after about a week to tell me the last unit of my order was broke so I would have no choose a different frame. Another week went by and I was told my order was back in stock but nothing else. I'm still waiting after three and a half weeks, and so far they haven't responded to my request for a refund. Garbage service, AVOID.
