A Small Hidden Away British Run Bar In A Residenital Area
Potters Bars is a small British run bar which is rather hidden away in a more residential area of Nerja. As a landmark the Hotel Villa Flamenca is only about 200 metres away We believe it has been established for many years and is British run. It attracts a mixture of tourists,"Ex Pats" and Brits with holiday homes in Nerja. We enjoyed drinking in there and other customers were very friendly, it was very pleasant for a sociable evening. There is a small television set which is on a sensible volume so it does not stifle conversation.Coronation street was showing whilst we were there. We understand they do sell some pub grub but we did not sample any. Drinks prices were very reasonable and the service was welcoming and friendly. Whilst we were drinking in there all the clients were couples with no children which was a real plus for us. As the bar area is best described as cosy due to the fact the bar is dominated by a large billiards table which in our opinion was the one point of criticism.all round we feel confident in recommending this bar if you want an evening with fellow "Brits". It was closed on Sundays and we are not sure whether it is open at lunchtimes but in the evenings it opens at 7 o'clock.
