Poor Reliability

Stopped working after about 13 months use, wrote to Hoover as problem found to be 1 of the two motor brushes worn out, spares not available at the time. NO RESPONSE.

Found and fitted new brushes eventually (purchased a new machine in the meantime). Machine now relegated to doing dirty units in the garage. New fault developed, code E04 - fault in the water level unit - turned out not to be this, actual fault was carbon dust on the main controller, cleaned this off with switch cleaner, it now works.

So we have a badly designed machine that has a motor design fault, in addition it won't wash a light load as the drum won't spin in balance and can take all day to try to do a wash. This was a relatively expensive machine and we hoped it was a match for our 20 year old Bosch unit, we threw the wrong machine away.

My advise is don't buy this

Rubbish

Worst quality product I've ever brought! In the First 2 months had a engineer out 3 times, has had a new door, & a new drum, the plastic paddles inside the drum keep coming off leaving sharp edges destroying clothes in the wash

One has just come off again, at 6 months old I'm thinking of taking it to the tip and buying a new one. It definitely wont be a hoover.

Not Happy

This machine has been faulty since we purchased it. The engineers came out when it was still under warranty, the machine kept stopping mid cycle with error signs showing on the display panel, the machine stopped 1/2 way through the wash, full of water & we couldn't open the door or get it started on a wash again. The engineers said it was possibly low water pressure, since then we have moved the machine to a different area with good water pressure & it's still the same, we think the computerised panel has been faulty from the start but when we phone customer service they fob you off until the guarantee runs out & then you have to pay for service & parts, which we will not do. I'd rather buy another machine, I will not buy a Hoover again , next time it will be a Bosh

Very Poor Product And Even Worse Service ! Do Not Buy Hoover

Purchased this machine only for it to blow up after 4 weeks. If this is not bad enough it took weeks for an engineer to call and then even longer to get parts ! The end result a busy family without a washine machine for a month! Could you cope with that? If so buy Hoover.. If not steer clear.

Very Noisey!

It was this Hoover or a Hotpoint - wanted the latter but out of stock. Wish I had waited! So noisey I felt there was something wrong with it when it was draining. Spin and rest noise levels acceptable levels. Washing facility and 1400 rpm more than happy with. Guess at £259 it is good value for money.

A Time Bomb Waiting To Go Bang, Clank And Then Self Destruct

Noisy.

During spin cycle, it sounds like its going to self destruct. Well today it did and it frightened the living day lights out of me!

I would not recommend it to any one.

I've had this product less than two months!

Hoover Remote Control *bomb*

The machine (DYN8144D) looked good in the kitchen and was easy to use, very quiet, even more quiet when it was not working or leaking and that was three leaks in the first year and the computer going into self destruct mode twice ending in death two months after its first birthday.

Leaks I can understand because the soft rubber around the door is tied on to the drum using a big tie grip and I don't think the engineer that they sent out cared too much about how the leaks were stopped but it's the computer that got my goat because these devices/money extraction machines keep popping up error codes that sometimes clear if you turn the power off and are so good that they can even tell you when the computer has a fault if you can understand how that works.

My mum had a Hoover washing machine and it lasted ten years back in the 1970's but these are not the same as the machines Hoover are making today and with the advent of technology, clocks and timers I suspect that these machines are coming with programs that go bang just weeks out of warrantee if the engineer does not flick a switch under the hood on time.

Well Hoover fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice...................

Hoovers were not always bad machines, they were not cheap and lasted and I can kick myself for not checking online reviews before buying one this time because I just assumed that they were as good as always, I was wrong, you have been warned and I won't even tell you about Hoovers customer care center.

Excellent

After much consideration and looking at loads of reviews of every type of washing machines, i decided this was the one for me, lovely size drum, excellent spin at 1400 rpm, my last washing machine only had a 1000 rpm and believe me you know the difference, would recommend this to anyone, it delivers everything you want from your washing machine, very happy and i cant give any bad points cause i havent got any.
