Great product - easy to use, and unlike other softwares, doesn't slow down the PC

Very good, reliable, had no problems

Easy to install and has loads of featured - if you want something that's fast to install and offers full antivirus protection and internet security this seems to be the one to go with!

Ive been running mcafee for around 2 years.

It slows the system for no reason during browsing

the download manager is corrupt and although frequently updated not fixed,

contacting these people is a nightmare if not impossible

On the plus side my system is clean, i also use spybotSD and ccs cleaner maybe thats why ?

Having been a McAfee customer for years it is definitely a time for a change. Despite having +200 days left on my McAfee Total Protection 2011 I got again for what I believe is the fourth (4th) time a notification that my software license has expired and that I have to purchase a new license.

The software itself is fine while it works. What aggrivates the SENSORED out of me is that this keep happening and I have to reinstall. All fine until I get the next fake expired notice. I have a valid license but McAfee cut's it off. Now what drives me SENSORED is that you cannot reach their customer service without having a valid license. The free options chat and email does not work unless you have a valid license - that you actually have but this error makes it look like you would not have one.

Instead McAfee regognises all your previous expired licenses and swithces you over to one of them - despite this your valid license is still shown in your account but is suddenly no longer the one installed on your computer. Today again I am suddenly informed by the application "55 days without protection". THIS SENSORED BIG TIME. Having +200 DAYS LEFT ON MY TOTAL PROTECTION AND THIS IS THE FORTH TIME THIS IS TO MUCH. WHAT A RlP OFF COMPANY. You have to call a paid phone number to get it sorted.

Two months ago I told their SENSORED customer service that was unable to connect me to their technical department that this has to be the very last time they switch off the McAfee Total Protection 2011. I am a long time customer with a valid license. But here we go again. No I will not pay a single penny for discussing with their SENSORED customer service advisors in India. I have a valid license. And Yes, for those who wonder, I am an IT professional.

I had enough. Good bye McAfee, I will never ever purchase anything from this company anymore. I WILL NOW UNINSTALL MY NON WORKING VALID AND FULLY PAID McAFEE TOTAL PROTECTION AND PURCHASE KASPERSKYLABS INSTEAD - ARGUABLY THE VERY BEST ANTI-VIRUS SOFTWARE OUT THERE. The only single reason I have been using McAfee is that it has been preinstalled on most computers out of the box. There is noting on this planet that would me purchase a McAfee product ever again. I seriously doubt that there is any way I could get my money back for the remaining +200 days on my still valid license that these RlP OFF artists continuously "switches off". There is NO WAY THIS PRODUCT COULD BE RECOMMENDED TO ANYONE. I WORK ONLINE AND NEED MY ANTI-VIRUS APPLICATION TO WORK AT ALL TIMES - NOT TO BE SWITCHED OFF DURING THE VALID LICENSE TIME. I DON'T CARE WHAT THE VIRUS PROTECTION COSTS, IT SHOULD WORK. THIS PRODUCT CLEARLY DOESEN'T DUE TO MCAFEE'S AGGRESSIVE SALES STRATEGY TRYING TO MAKE YOU RENEW A LICENSE THAT IS STILL VALID BY SWAPPING IT OVER TO YOUR OLD EXPERIED LICENSES FOR OTHER MCAFEE VIRUS PRODUCTS WITHOUT OF ANY ACTION FROM YOUR SIDE.

SO THIS REVIEW IS LIKELY TO APPLY TO ALL OTHER ANTI-VIRUS APPLICATIONS BY THE SAME COMPANY.

WOULD YOU LIKE YOUR VALID ANTI-VIRUS PRODUCT TO SUDDENLY INFORM YOU THAT THE LICENSE HAS EXPEIRED AND TELL YOU THAT THE UPDATES ARE NO LONGER WORKING WHEN YOU HAVE +200 DAYS LEFT ON YOUR SUBSCRIPTION?

FOUR TIMES OF THIS NON-SENSE IN JUST A FEW MONTHS IS ENOUGH.

Now I head over to Kaspersky.co.uk and purchase a proper anti-virus product.
