Love The Mattress
We have had the S.A.T. mattress for 12 or 13 years, and we absolutely love the bed, if not for the Air Chamber issues, I would have given this bed a 5 star rating. With that said, we did have had to replace the Air Chamber on the left side of the bed, within the first year of owning the mattress. The shipping costs were $40 for both sides. Replaced both of them again, 3 years later, same shipping cost.
We are now on 12th or 13th year of owning this bed and are once again, replacing both air chambers on this bed. I have been informed that the replacement air chambers are even "tougher" and more durable than the second set that we received 8 or 9 years ago. The shipping cost this time were $63 total for both sides. That is $140 we have spent on replacing air chambers, that is disappointing yes, however, the quality sleep that my wife and I get with this mattress is second to none, and would not trade it for any other bed. I have always had excellent customer service when there were issues with this mattress.
For the most part, I have had excellent customer service with all of the various companies that I have dealt with over the years. I really believe that you are treated in the same fashion that you treat the person on the other end of the phone.
In any event, when the time comes, we will not hesitate to purchase another one of these mattresses in the future.
S.A.T. Lover,

We have our king size SAT bed for 20 years now. No maintenance done. We can only compare to spring and foam mattresses and this is the only mattress we can sleep on. It’s excellent for back injuries as well.
T & J,
We also have loved our SAT bed, but it seems the company has changed ownership and they do not honor the original lifetime warranty anymore? Has that been your experience?

The Best Mattress !
I have had the SAT mattress for more than 6 years. It is wonderful I and have nothing bad to say about it. I ordered it online and was concerned about it since I had not actually seen or tried it. However After about 6 months I noticed my back pain was gone! Since I have several herniated discs, arthritis, compressed vertebra, and a unstable Lumbar 4, I didn't think anything was going to help my pain (the doctors certainly weren't able to help). However this bed did it! I used to wake up 5 or 6 times a night because of pain but now it rarely happens. I am a medical provider and am familiar with back problems. This is my first recommendation for a bed!. My husband sleeps much better also. He hardly moves at all now during the night and since we got the adjustable box spring, we have the head of his bed raised just a little and his snoring has greatly reduced. My only wish is I could make it a little firmer for certain occasions but that is a small compromise for all it has done for me. I have told many people about it. I stressed the 10 year full warranty. NO one else gives you that. I tried a bed like the "Sleep Number" first didn't like it and I kept losing the controller to the nether regions of the floor and it did not help my back the way this one does. When I first got my SAT bed I had a problem with the air valve not working properly but they promptly sent a new one out. They were easy to talk to and quickly took care of every thing I was concerned about. (past tense since I haven't had any problems for over 5 years!). It was a little expensive for the set but worth every penny. I guess you do get what you pay for...especially in this instance!

Not Perfect, But A Very Good Bed.
I have read of many people who are not satisfied with the S.A.T. bed for various reasons.I can honesty say that I am thrilled with my bed.I look forward returning home after going away on vacation due to the fact that I miss my bed when I am away.
I will say after 7 years of use I had to replace chambers on both sides of bed,They said I had to pay for fed ex.I didn't think that was unreasonable.and once again I am totally thrilled.(By the way I weigh 240 lbs and am 6'1")I will say don't sit on edge of bed because it will stress the air tubes where they come out of tubes.
Every other bed I've owned started having dips in surface after 1-2 yrs so to have a bed fail after 7 years and able to have a a new bed almost after 7 yrs. of use is a great deal.the customer service was very good for me. I did save my original receipt and presented it in order to process claim. If tubes go again O well, I will submit claim, but new tubes seem much stronger.

10 Years And Still Satisfied
Bought this bed 10 years ago and I couldn't be happier with the performance. The wool topper keeps thing comfortable all year long. It's also very easy to take off the top and wash. If there were one improvement I would like to have seen at the time of the purchase was a better foam top layer. Otherwise, no complaints whatsoever. I hope the bed lasts another 20 years and I won't be surprised if it does.

Don't Buy The Bed
I did a ton of research to replace my King and a Full for my mom. She suffers from Rheumatoid Arthritis and chronic pain, and when I did the research they advertised that the SAT bed was the bed used in hospitals. The sales rep even suggested it was the bed used for Christopher Reeve. I bought the sales pitch of never having to replace my bed again, this would be the last bed we would have to replace. At no point did he ever say the chambers fail within first year and you end up in large sink holes. After several emails to the company, they will cover the chambers but I have to pay shipping, for both beds I am looking at $500-$700 in shipping fees (but the chambers are under warranty). The last email I sent, which never was responded to, I asked if I could use my own freight company to pick up the chambers, a copy of my original warranty and what is the expected lifespan of these chambers. Am I looking to replace these every 1, 2 3 years? They are selling these beds to people with medical conditions and making their conditions worse. Our bed has tweaked my husbands neck so bad he has to sleep in a lazy boy chair. They will not assist us in any way, even knowing about my mothers health and our now back issues from sleeping in our WAY OVER priced beds.
The Bed I Never Wanted
A little over 4 years ago I contacted a Satbed representative to be sure this was the bed for me. He guaranteed I would love the bed and it would help my arthritis. They only deliver to the sidewalk so I had to pay another $50. and beg the delivery man to bring it to my front door, no my room. Of course my rep. told me they would bring it into my home for a few dollars. After about 30 days my sister saw a drop at the edge of the bed and I never felt comfortable so I called to let them know I was returning it. I was told it took 8-10 weeks to get the feel of the bed. I agreed to try it a little longer, but during that time my mom got ill and when I called to make the return I was past the trial date. My complaints went unanswered until I was contacting the BBB. I RECEIVED A NEW AIR CHAMBER TWO YEARS LATER,BUT NOT THE ONE I HAD PURCHASED. This did not help with the edge that was falling apart. Within 1 year the switch on the chamber became detached and they want $400. to send me a new chamber. I spent over $2000. for a bed I tried to return and just being a little late due to an illness they got me. SHAMEFUL.

11 Years And Still Great!
I bought mine 11 years ago. The first thing I noticed was that I required an hour a day less time in bed because I sleep better. That hour a day over 11 years adds up to 7 extra hours a week to enjoy life. What is your time worth?
It's been moved all over the country and is simple to break down, move and put together. The wool still looks new and the materials show no wear. I have no doubt it will last another 11 years. One of the best investments I ever made.

Worst Bed Ever!
I purchased this bed and paid over 3000. I have had back surgery in the past and thought that buying a good quality matress was just what I needed. However, a year later the bed is awful. The middle sinks in and the sides bow outward. When I wake up it takes an hour to walk out the kinks and pains from the bed. Customer service is about a 0...you diagnose the problem your self, and you fix the bed yourself....Worse bed ever! I would really question the warranty they refer to before you buy! Actually don't buy!
9 years later…how is your back now?

Ten Years Later - Sleeping Well!
Very satisfied with WCW SAM after almost 10 years of comfort. Have made 3 warranty claims, first time just a couple of individual chambers, then complete replacement of each side. Each time I dismantle the mattress system I am amazed at the quality of the materials used. All 3 claims have been handled quickly and to my complete satisfaction. I thought I would write a review to pass along my great experiences, but did not find a way to leave a review on naturalform.com. Did a quick search for comments on the web and found several sites where reviews were posted. About 30% of the reviews posted were rather negative. Reading them and comparing to my own experience, it's pretty plain to me that most of the negative comments are written by persons that want to complain either because they are to stupid to understand how the product works, to lazy to do a little verification of their warranty claim, have a self-serving reason to bash WCW or need more than just a good nights sleep to be a nice person. Thanks to WCW for providing a product and service I would buy again.
Q&A
How to replace the adjustable air chambers on the SAT bed. I can’t find info on the SAT bed anywhere. Are they still made?
Where can I get a replacement foam for this bed?
