The Little Green Sheep Organic Cot Bed Mattress

My son had a organic cotbed mattress from naturalmat which was lovely so now he's moved to a single bed wanted him to have another. I went for little green sheep natural single described as medium firm. When it arrived it is rock hard, my son cried when he lay on it, seriously if you sit on it it doesn't give at all. I rang the supplier who advised me to make sure it was the right way up and it should relax after a week or so but unfortunately it feels as hard as ever to me. £350 is a lot of money to pay for such an uncomfortable mattress.

I was looking for mattress for 2 months and had very difficult time choosing the right one since I am expecting my first child.

I decided to purchase Twist Mattress for Cot Bed 60x120cm and was very happy with the product.

A big thank you for fast payment option, many confirmation emails and delivery updates. My order arrived within few days and I was informed on what is happening to my order all the way!

The mattress was nicely wrapped and was exactly how it is described on the website.

This is the best value mattress I saw so far considering it is 100% cotton on the outside and 100% natural materials on the inside I was very happy with it.

I believe it is worth paying £150 for 100% natural product which is chemical free than £130 for Mothercare's synthetic one...

I ordered a cot mattress protector from this company. It came to light that it was out of stock. I emailed them several times to check when it would be delivered but they did not reply to my emails until I raised a claim in paypal (my chosen payment method) at which point they emailed me and stated they had previous emailed me and called me. I can assure you they did not.

Furthermore after losing my patience with the company and requesting a refund, it took 3 further emails for this to happen. I think this company must be one person with a back room spare who is punching above their weight.

If you are happy to deal with amateurs then order from them, else avoid at all costs.

The first thing I noticed when I opened the mattress was it didn't have that 'new' smell - i.e. it didn't smell of chemicals and foams, just a reassuring smell of wool. I opted for the twist mattress as it's chemical free and we have a cot bed and so wanted something that will provide the right support for both new born and when the child is 5 or 6 and the 5 year guarantee is what sold it to me really. The price seems competitive but not cheap however we decided it was worth it as it will last a lot longer than a cheaper foam or sprung mattress. Over all we are really pleased with the mattress and it feels so comfortable yet firm and the idea that there are zero chemicals in it is such a great reassurance. I can only highly recommend it.

I managed to convince my husband to splash out on The Little Green Sheep Twist cot bed Mattress and thank goodness they didn't let me down or I would have been eating my words! Simply top quality and no chemicals which from what my research brought up, only little green sheep achieve (watch out for other 'natural' cot mattresses claiming this...many still used fire chemicals!). So happy hubby and happy baby, I can't recommend this enough.

I just wanted to write a review to help other mums out there as I spent ages looking around. There's so many natural products that aren't truly natural and loads of conflicting advice. After a lot of searching I found The Little Green Sheep mattresses in a store in London and they're exactly what I was looking for. They're chemical free and were nice and comfortable and supportive and the one I bought had a five year guarantee. the mattress arrived and is just brilliant and my baby sleeps extremely well on it.

In short we're over the moon and would highly recommend this mattress to anyone out there looking for a high quality, reasonably priced and safe mattress.

I waited in for 2 long consecutive days for a moses basket that my wife ordered online and was promised between 9 and 5 on the previous day

If you then add into the mix a delivery company with an 0871 premium rate number (yodel) where you get charged every time you ring them to beg for some sort of meaningful update and it is salt & wounds territory

It might be the fault of their delivery company but LGS are responsible for the delivery service they provide and at the time were unable to provide a meaningful update

That said - the goods finally arrived after 6pm on the second day, the moses basket is very nice and LGS kindly offered a discount on a future purchases

However having lost two days of my life that I will never get back, I'm not sure I am prepared to risk that happening again (!)

Bought from a small local store in West London, felt the little samples and thought it sounded like a great idea to keep things natural. Loved the dual firmness of the twist mattress too. I opted to have mine delivered to my house as didn't want to carry it, it arrived 2 days later and it really is a lovely mattress - I wonder if they do adult sizes!!! :-)

I've had it for 6 months now and it's a great mattress and my baby sleeps very well on it so I'm a happy Mummy!

I didn't buy the organic one, i bought their basic natural coconut one and its fantastic. i bought the basic one because i only have a cot and the sprung mattress that came free is rubbish and sagged almost instantly. This one however seems nice and firm and springy and the quilted cover is really soft. I can now sympathise with all mums and dads out there! We are expecting our first child in a few months and it is unbelievable how confusing the world of prams, mattresses and cots is! Anyway to be honest the reason we went with this mattress (in addition to the good reviews) is just because the website and service was simply and clear...music to my ears at the time! But obviously the quality was important to us and we decided to bite the bullet and get something which hopefully will last 4-5 years. So if you are a fellow confused dad to be then these are the people for you!
