Does The Job

We've had our Heat Line combi boiler for over 7 years now and it is still running like clockwork even though we was told by one engineer that they were 'low end budget boilers'. It doesn't take long to heat the water or run the radiators and isn't expensive to run. One cold winter the boiler was on timer for over 3 months and never let us down once! It does what it is designed to do and does it well. Would definitely recommend them.

Useless Boiler And Customer Service

I got the Heatline Bolier installed about 2 years back after an engineer recommended it to me. The boiler was installed and serviced every year. Since the installation date, every 2 - 4 weeks the time switch will automatically move from the ON position to the Timer position. I tried calling heatline a few times but as the waiting time was too long, i never made it through to report the issue until last week.

I reported the issue to the agent on the phone, he read a statement that if the issue is not related to the boiler they will charge me. I asked the agent that the timer is part of the boiler, so will i be charged? He instantly said No as it is part of the boiler so it is covered as long as the boiler is covered.

An engineer came down and first thing he started inspecting the boiler and checking the flue. 2 minutes later he said he will not touch the boiler as there is a different make of flue installed to it, and the boiler is as High Risk ? I asked how should the flue be installed to be properly installed, and he replied the boiler is at high risk so he need to turn it off. I asked the same question again and this time he gave a totally unrelated reply. I said this is not my question, and showing a sarcastic and stupid smile he said do i have your permission to turn off the boiler ? His behaviour reminded me the corrupted people who wants you to give them money to go ahead with your work. It was very clear to me he doesn't know how the flue should be installed, they just make up issues so that we buy their product. He still never said how to install it, the closer answer i got from him was to check in the manual how it should be installed.

I called my gas engineer and he confirmed me the same thing, that they bring up all kind of issue just to force us buying their product.

So for a boiler that is not even 2 years old, an issue that came up since day one, brainless engineers, I think this boiler, and their customer services, are a full disaster. The reason why the boiler is sold on the cheap, is to be able to dig money out of customers after the installation.

I'm A Gas Engineer And I Wouldn't Give One To An Enemy

These are made from the leftover parts bin from Vaillant/Gloworm and whilst on the whole they work ok, Heatline won't give any technical support for this and the warranty is laughable.

Then there the cost of spares. When you see the cost of the spares you will realise why they sell them so cheaply.

To save money in the long term buy a Worcester Bosch and stay well clear of the Vaillant group.

I'm a gas engineer and I totally disagree with you. Those are very well built boilers with much cheaper spare prices compared to Worcester Bosch boiler. Heatline are good value for money and very reliable. I saying that because I have fitted over 200 of them in the last 5 years. They are not immune from failure as all other boiler manufacturers, but one thing for sure thay are the best value for money and outstanding reliability.

On A Budget And So Worth It

Bought an house to renovate , don't pay too much for a named boiler . This does the job for half the price and after 18 months still on top form . Good reliable boiler for the money ..

Great Boiler. 3 Years Old And Still Perfect

Identical to the previous Glowworm Ultracom. Vaillant quality for half the price. The reason for the low price compared to Vaillant / Glowworm models is that the warranty period is less, customer service is not as good (premium rate tech support number) and spares are expensive.

Having spoken to a Heatline / Vaillant engineer, he said he would have one in his own house. Enough said.

Boiler not worked on radiator circuit since day one - impossible to get through to customer services avoid if I was you.

Liveseys Gas

To call Heatline now costs the same as calling Vaillant or Glowworm. Thje premium rate has been axed.

Priced Budget But Good Design & Value For Money

As Landlord And installer the boiler internally is spacious why does it matter then at some time will require servicing or repairing .

Its well built and a good design , this boiler is part of Vaillant group but run separately , you cant expect same build quality as the Vaillant as its twice the price , So here is option 2 years for £500 or less or £900 for 5 year with Vaillant . If your in budget price its actually the best out of most of them and high highly recommend ,also as a engineer its pretty reasonable to work on when it goes pear shaped .

Take my advice what ever you decide buy a Magnaclean pro 2 It will make your boiler last 15 to 20 years and inhibitor yearly put in the magnaclean .

It saves your boiler repairs and approx 6% energy saving .

A Really Good Boiler.

I was putting in a new central heating system in a house but I have a budget. At first I was lost in the world of boilers but after having read the reviews on this Heatline Caprizplus, I decided to install one last year. I was not disappointed as it was a quiet boiler and it looks nice too. It froze after 4 months of use but their engineers came quickly and reset it which was 10 minutes job. Worth every penny and less than half the price of the expensive boilers.

Can anyone please tell me how to turn off the eco mode symbol on caprize 28 boiler? Pressing and holding the plus and minus buttons for 5 secs did not work.

lesthetiler

Do these boilers have LPG capabilities?

karter29

Im looking to replace my old boiler with a combi, and read really good reviews about the heatline capriz plus 28kw. My question is will it be good enough for my home which is a 3 bed terraced, with one bathroom? I have visions on buying it, then it not being powerful enough to do everything.

jigs2611

What is the boiler performance like? I am thinking of getting the Heatline Capriz Plus 28. I want to know it is worth it or not.

TKTrooper

To be fair the boiler has since been ok. Heating & water pressure have been fine so far (touch wood). We have a 3 story house, i had my reservations if the boiler had the ability to provide a good level of water pressure right to the top floor which it has. Heating, that has been good too. We had to turn that down as the heat of the water was too much.

I don't think you will have a problem with the boiler itself. As other reviews from plumbers and customers about the net state, the quality of the boiler is quite high, its basically a vaillant boiler in a heatline case. The problem you will have if any is with it's customer service, its poor. I have since had to chase up the agreed compensation they offered. The engineer who came back out to finally install the correct part was rude, abrupt and spoke to use like a piece of muck and they don't actually carry alot of the parts on their vans for call outs. So you will wait a good few days for any issue to be fixed, so you go without heating.

Have since found out that the problem we had was with the computer board inside it. Something to do with it being the wrong one being fitted during the build process, that there was a batch of them that had this issue. The firm that fitted mine had since had the same issue again but at least this time they knew what the issue was and was able to fix it.

A decent boiler that is sadly let down by extremely bad customer service.
