Initially The Lady On The Phone Who Tried To Sell

Initially the lady on the phone who tried to sell me their product was nice and friendly and sounded very convincing. I fell for it and paid £349.00 to gain access to their data base. It was tricky but I found luckily an institution who was willing to loan me money for my start up business. I rang UKBFC to tell them I received the grant, the lady on the phone sounded very surprised at first, almost not expecting that, which means now they have to refund me my money paid to them. From there on they sent me on a goose chase,. filling out forms about feed back of how their service was and I was suppose to receive a call from them to proceed with paying back the money. No one ever called. Then I attempted to call again and guess what? the lady on the other line became very rude saying 'you want your money? You Will Get It!!' Oh dear I knew I was in trouble. She gave me a number to the finance office (the boss's office I'm guessing) and they don't pick up their phone either. So I tried ringing the lady again, this time she doesn't pick up, cos they've added my number to the 'Do Not Pick Up No'.. I attempted to go via the original number of the lady that sold their product to me and guess what it is another lady with different accent. She was so weird the moment she knew what I was ringing about. Then unexpectedly she started to read to me a pre-text messages that made no sense to me at all.., Oh boy. I decided to write to them to say that I still need them to contact me as no one is picking up the phone. I sent the letter by recorded mail but it was mailed back to me about 2 weeks later that the address did not exist. I think the person running it is an American as he spoke to me ones but never after again. Now I don't trust any of these companies asking you to pay money to access database!

My E-mail To Them: "you Misled Me In What Is On O

My e-mail to them:

"You misled me in what is on offer on your website. I could not see the product before you took my money. Your so-called product is of no value to me and is not what I need or wanted or thought I was getting. I was under the impression that you would bring me in contact with Government departments directly that deals with Government loans or government grants specifically for farmers. I could not find a single government agency that offer grants or loans specifically to farmers – only private sector companies that offer business loans. There is a big difference.

What is on your site is freely available online anyway. You did not tell me that.

You misled me about the product. I want my money back."

Do Not Go Anywhere Near Them

They take £349 from you then never answer any calls, they claim they will respond in 16 hours on their automated line, they do not respond to emails either. They effectively promise support and do nothing whatsoever but take the ,oney and stay silent. Staggered at the fact I have been trying now to get a call back for 3 months. If you want to join in reporting them please ler me know by commenting and we can form a cohesive customer response to have them investigated.

I have had the same problem. I was guaranteed results otherwise my money would be refunded.

There must be a government dept to stop people using Gov.

Good luck

Same with me

Paulscaff

I had call from them telling me I was eligible for a free government grant, thought something was dodgy as it's a lengthy process but they told me funding was from company called Haven funding plc, call gov business help line and they are not even registered with any government schemes, called them and questioned them about certain things and they hung up, so called company avoid at all costs

Use This Free Service Instead, Same Thing But Free

Use a free service: no money exchanging hands and better service. Don't be fooled by UKBFC.

Dealing With The Devil

Most unprofessional female sociopathic staff member ever. Said hand over £349 for a software business plan and said I'll be running in three hours after telling them the nature of my business. Turn down loans and idiotic Girus when starting a business! After training in your field, find customers that will offer you work, and after payment buy tools and service your overheads. That is how I managed to do it.

I Got Money Back After 4months

I was like all you others - very well convinced by UKBFC that they would help me get funding for my business- took my money - and had no help! Made a million calls left messages and emailed afew times (kept a record of all) then 4 months down the line finally got a refund!

I did log in on the day I got my log in details and realised it was a load of rubbish so didn't login in again and after none existing customer service finally spoke to a man who reviewed my case and gave me a refund due to poor customer service ( not even acknowledging that there is no funding available to me they lied to get my money) but I can now sleep at night knowing my money is safe in my account and can use it more sensibly in the business! I feel i am a lucky one in this still recurring sham but please keep fighting and threaten with ombudsman and court and if need be take them to court - the more people that fight for money back hopefully the less the company will make thus hopefully eventually meaning the company goes under!!! Good luck to those of you claiming a refund and DO NOT pay any money to this sham if you are thinking about using them !

Have taken them to court and obtained CCJ. The problem is that every one of their addresses is just a "mail drop". However will not give up and will now go to the High Court whose Enforcement Officers (Sheriffs) have considerably more powers than the County Court Bailiffs. If necessary will issue a winding up order against them.

Got My Money Back

I like many others were taken in by UK Business Grants and their false promises, on the same day I paid my £349.00 I cancelled my payment with Capital One.

They declined to accept my reasons for cancelling despite sending them details of other people who were complaining about this company.

I then contacted, Citizens Advice, Action Fraud, F.C.A. and the Financial Ombudsman about this matter, the F.O.S. wrote to Capital One on my behalf detailing the issues I had raised.

Then today 27/03/2017 I received an email from Capital One to say they were refunding the full amount I had tricked out off.

Do not just give up with UK Business Grants, if you keep at it you also should get a refund.

Misleading Advice And Payment Taken Not Refunded

I spoke with one of the telephone consultants recently. I was advised very strongly that there were many funding options and schemes available to me both within my particular area of work and location. I was made to feel that there really were a multitude of options. I paid my £379 and realised very quickly after logging into my account that this information communicated to me was hugely misleading and in actual fact there was little to nothing available to me.

I emailed to complain to which I received no response until I emailed again and they said a refund would not be processed. I have subsequently emailed again and still no response and this is now over a week.

I strongly advise that you dont use this service and certainly don't pay £379 to do so.

Q&A

CarlFaucher

I have called them today 20/6/2017 to refund my money , they told their customer services team will get back to me, I am still waiting will they refund the fee? The lady on the phone sounded nuts when I asked for my money back.

NMD63

I have a letter stating that £15,000 grant has been approved. They want me to pay £175 for the money to be released.

Is this a trick?

PISSEDOFFBIKER

if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is... if i had to ask myself this question i would say to myself stay away! also if they want £175 admin fee you can pay them after you get the grant...

westfielder74

I know I've been suckered, having payed £378 for access to their 'funding finder' database.

I've tried to find loan/grant application forms on their site several times on their advice following several phone calls to them, but keep getting returned to the same funding finder page.

Has anyone had any success with this yet, or are their claims just false?

Thanks for reading.

haakon

Their claims are false, I am sorry that you have given them the money, especially as you can access the same information for free through the government website and get better free advice. This company should be shut down and all money returned to the people they have ripped off.
