I followed directions and in 8 miles my toyota sienna boiled over. Do not recommend this product

I have a 2005 Mazda 6, had p0431 engine code come up and couldn't keep it off after clearing the code. Brought it to my mechanic. Mechanic said it needs a new converter and quoted a price of $1,562.00.

I bought one bottle of CataClean and used it according to instructions on the bottle. After having no luck with the first bottle i bought a second bottle and repeated what i had done first. The second bottle kept the engine light off. I passed the emmisions test and was able to renew my plates. Two bottles cost me $52.00 which saved me $1,510.00.AMAZING!

I own a small pest control company. Because of the mileage my trucks get, I try and do most the repairs myself. I had a exhaust manifold that cracked on a F150. It was bad for a months. It was not loud so I did not care much. After I changed it, the check engine light came on and a PO420 emission code shot up. I figure with the manifold being cracked, the honey comb of the converter plugged up with carbon. I was experiencing loss of power especially going up hills.

Instead of spending $1300 dollars in two converters, (They have to be special for both California and NY emissions... don't get me started) I thought I would try Cataclean. I did not expect much, it is kind of a goofy name, and I am not much for snake oil, but I thought even if it gave me the piece of mind that I did everything possible to save myself from spending the crazy money they wanted for a couple converters. So I put it in as directed and it seems to of helped immensely. I have not yet burned through the initial tank of gas yet, but even if it stays the same... Ill be happy with the results. As of right now, the light flickers at around 3200 rpm going up a hill, but I have a ton more power and only have only burned up a 1/4 tank of gas since putting the chemical in the tank. And honestly, judging what I have seen so far, it would not surprise me to have the entire issue with the converter solved.

I have 5 trucks all with 200-350 plus thousand miles to maintain, so my winters are tied up mostly doing maintenance on the trucks getting them ready for the spring. I think if your product works the way I expect it too, I will be using it twice a year

I bought your product from auto zone for $26.00 and some change which is a lot for its purpose. I followed the direction and check engine light came back on for low threshold for the cat. This is the second bottle I have bought. My truck was running great before the bottle and check engine light was on so I read other reviews on this product so I tried again with no results I am disappointed. I will go to another product if I have to and won't tell others to try Cataclean.

Thank You CATACLEAN, My 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee has 212,000 miles on it. The check engine light came on. Giving a P430 code. Bad Catalytic converter. Tried many fixes but nothing worked. I was ready to replace my Jeep or invest the $1,000.00 plus to replace converter. I was informed about CATACLEAN and with not a lot of confidence in a fix all in a bottle I purchased CATACLEAN at a local auto parts store. Followed the instructions and with in driving my Jeep for 10 miles the check engine light when out. Drove Jeep to emissions testing facility and my Jeep passed with flying colors. I baught a 96 Toyota Tacoma,he deleted the check engine lite before I saw the truck,this will work for about 100 miles.That is longer than any test drive.Engine lite came on half way home,checked with my code reader came up p0420 cat was bad.I got online found this catcleaner,got it followed the instructions to the letter reset the computer filled truck with 91 gas went for a 100 mile drive light was still off took it to the smog shop and passed with flying colors.I am impressed.They recommend you do this every 3 months cheaper than a new cat.

I got Cataclean from Halfords, the packaging was good and the information on it was great, I especially like how it is made in the UK. I got it because I do lots of stop/start journeys as a private hire taxi and sometimes my catalytic converter gets clogged resulting in my car being sluggish.

I used cataclean as prescribed 1 bottle in a quarter of a tank and could feel the results fairly soon after. I also feel as if I am getting longer before I have to fill up again so maybe I'm getting more miles to the gallon.

Although it's on the pricier end of the additive scale I feel it is worth it, I'm not sure redex is as effective as it has been. I think it is all a bit gimmicky now.

I bought Cataclean from Amazon on the recommendation of the mechanic after my car failed its emissions test for the second time. I've always used high quality fuel, namely Shell, so was massively surprised when the car failed on emissions as it is very well maintained, no expense spared.

The second MOT I used redex and although the emissions did come down slightly it was still a fail

Anyway I used Cataclean after the mechanic suggested it, otherwise I could've been looking at a duff Catalytic converter, and it went through the second re-test and passed, I've also noticed the car seems to be more responsive to the accelerator.

I would recommend this product.

Despite the name, this product isn't for sprucing up Tiddles, it's for cleaning the internals of car exhaust systems and catalytic converters.

Opinion is split- many people swear by it, others (who haven't actually bought it) say they don't see how it CAN work (hence they didn't buy it).

Having an 11 year old petrol 4x4, I have seen the emissions levels rising with each MOT; this is normal, as the catalytic converter gets covered with more grot and therefore has less effect. Following the instructions on the bottle I used this stuff, and the car easily met the emissions standards. On top of that it feels a bit smoother and faster, takes less effort to accelerate.

I told the MOT place that I'd used it, and the tester said "brilliant stuff, we always use and recommend it". Considering that they don't actually sell it, i reckon that's a thumbs up.

Cost- typically £13 a (one-use) bottle, use it 4 times a year for max. benefit. Wait till your fuel guage shows about 1/4 full, pour it into the tank, and don't add any more fuel till you've done 20-30 miles or so, and that's it. Works on petrol and diesel engines.

As far as I'm concerned, excellent stuff.
