Why Is There No Option For 0 Stars? If You Hear Th

Why is there no option for 0 stars? If you hear this mans name when your arranging builders then this is the best advice you will ever get.......Run a mile and dont look back. This advice will save you stress, money & endless problems with poor workmanship. Complete incompetent man and incapable of producing work to an acceptable standard, that is if he has not already disappeared with most of your money without completing work. STAY CLEAR & look for a reputable company.

Very Unprofessional And Untrustworthy Company

If I could give no stars I would. We used Franklin Windows a few years ago when Joshua Franklin's father was in charge and received an excellent service having several windows and a patio door fitted with no problems whatsoever. So when wanting another patio door fitting we had no hesitation in contacting Franklin Windows. We had not realised it was now run by Joshua Franklin the son, but if we had we would probably have still chosen to use the company based on its reputation under his father. We order our patio doors and paid our deposit as requested and on time, and then paid further monies when requested back in July 2016. We are still waiting for our doors to be fitted and keep being told the doors are not ready yet at the factory. It has been 3 months....how long does it take to make some doors. It was a matter of several weeks last time and that was for several windows & one set of patio doors. We have had to sever notice that they complete within 6 weeks as contractually agreed at the beginning. If this does not happen we will certainly be going to court. I am so saddened and disappointed that a local firm that had such a good reputation has become so bad. Word of mouth will spread the news to avoid this firm at all costs. I don't know how Joshua sleeps at night knowing he is consciously misleading people and taking their hard earned monies. I understand from a previous post that Joshua and is family are Jehovah witnesses. I know many Jehovah witnesses and they are kind and honest people so don't allow this person's diabolical behaviour to tarnish people of this faith.

Take Them To Court

Terrible outfit that should be avoided! I like everyone else paid my 50% deposit and after months of excuses from Josh Franklin and others decided to make a claim on live via the small claims court, the day before court Mr Franklin sent me a text message saying he'd settle my claim knowing full well any court would wipe the floor with him. I would urge anyone to do the same and anyone else to stay well away from this company or anything to do with Josh Franklin.

Happy To Recommend

I had an Orangery installed recently by Franklin Windows, the initial consultancy by the sales man was very professional and thorough, he showed me a proposed graphic of the Orangery and explained the options open to me, we paid a little more to go with Franklin due to their log established reputation. The build process started later than expected due to delays but once the guys got under way we were impressed with the professionalism. The Orangery is now complete and has provided us with the much needed additional living space we were after.

Quality Service

When researching for new Windows we wanted something different, wood windows ideally and we went to Franklin Windows due to their association with quality and service. I haven't been disappointed. We went for a wood inside and aluminium outside in grey, the new Windows look great, fitted on time and worth every penny. Thank you.

Worst Company I Have Every Dealt With..

They will take your deposit then ask for another payment for suppliers taking 80% of the money even though they have not ordered a thing. They take your money and deliver nothing.

Never Buy Franklin

Whilst installation of conservatory on time and budget, quality poor and had to have follow-up visits to rectify faults, which took another 3 months. From work to end took 6 months. Within 12 months of completion two double glazed units failed, which meant further visits by reps from Franklin. But getting service under guarantee very poor. I felt Franklin not interested......Many appointments for repairs not kept and many telephone calls seeking further appointments ignored and promised returned calls not made. Worst consumer service I ever experienced. Complaint now with Trading Standards.

Terrible Customer Service And After Sales Support.

We spent £21K on some glazed doors and lanterns for our extension to our home supplied and fitted for us by Franklin Windows.

I run a small building company and was initially attracted to the company based on a visit to the showroom and the promise of a professional service and a 10 year garauntee.

One of the double glazed units subsequently failed and mists up with moisture inside the unit. We spent over a year trying to get FW out to look at the problem only to be hit with a catalouge of excuses. Eventually a representative did come over to us and measured up for a replacement, despite months of chasing this never materialised.

We eventually received a letter from FW's MD stating that the company had changed management and if we wanted a replacement glazed unit we would be liable to pay for the privilege (despite the garauntee and spending £21K with the company).

I have since been back in touch to find the specification of the glass so I can fix the problem myself, needless to say no one from FW has been back to me even with this information. Dreadful!

My advice to any would be customer is to stay well clear. This company is very attentive until they have your money - beware!!

Feel So Let Down

We chose to go with Franklin as the name was known locally, and we like to support local firms - how I wish I had done my research first.

Their customer service is appalling and I'm not even convinced that they fit doubled glazing! We contacted them back in Oct 2015 to come and provide a quote , there was an ad in a local sales mag offering 10% discount for orders placed before Christmas. We paid our deposit in October and in December had a letter saying installation was booked for 14 Dec please pay main chunk of costs before 4th Dec so they can order everything this we did. So by Dec 4th Franklin had best part of £4K hard earned and saved money. On 14 Dec nothing happened no call no van no contact - at 10.00am I rang to see where they were, I'd taken day off work taken down curtains prepared house for fitting. When I rang them I was told that the fitters hadn't come into work that day so it wouldn't be happening but what about following week? I agreed 21st, the next day a letter came saying they couldn't do 21st and would be in touch in new year.

No one got in touch , so again I contacted them, since then I have had to do all contact, I have had promise after promise, these clearly mean nothing, the excuses given range from broken down van, fitters not working that day, they were finally PROMISED today and at 16.55 yesterday on my work email I was told the manufacturers haven't delivered the units so it won't happen today!

The feeling of disappointment, betrayal of goodwill, misplaced belief, frustration, and anger is beyond description. They promise you cast iron promises hand on heart and then construct another implausible story

I wish I'd seen this website back in October, I would NEVER recommend Franklin Windows to anyone , better chance with a national dodgy firm

Now need to pursue full refund via solicitors - not my style and not what I wanted by no other choice. I FEEL SO LET DOWN, and so out of pocket for hard earned cash - hope they will do the honest thing now and pay up! Mr.AH from Guiseley - not anonymous !

Poor Customer Service

Do not use this company.

Windows for my grade II listed property were ordered November 2014 and the deposit paid with a 10 week completion date given and after numerous phone calls and emails that were not returned I eventually had to turn up at the factory to find out what was happening in the summer of 2015 and was promised that the problems the company was having was behind them and they would be able to complete my job. Having used the company before and it being a local company I was happy to give them a second chance but I should have followed my instinct and asked for a refund of my deposit at that stage, eventually fitting started October 2015 after being cancelled twice which is extremely inconvenient when you have to arrange for family to be available to let the fitters in and the work is still not finished.

The fitters were not fit for purpose, were very unprofessional and were unable to complete the job along with an error in sizing of the windows this has lead to a complete mess at my property with damage to the internal surrounds of the windows, window cills and damage to furniture. Franklin windows have acknowledged the problems and have done a full report on it but have not acted to resolve the problems in a timely manner and are uncontactable at times.

This is the third job I have had undertaken by Franklin windows and I was very pleased with the quality and customer service of the previous two but and I can't believe how the standards have fallen and I can only describe the company as a disgrace.

I would not recommend this company and my advice would be to stay well clear. I have given Franklin windows numerous opportunities to redeem themselves but at all stages they have failed. At this point I just want a refund and I will rectify the problems myself.
