Avoid At All Cost
Avoid at all costs, from day 1 it was a disaster. Delays, shoddy surveys, additional monies needed to rectify situations that could have reasonably been identified at survey. Workmen that don't turn up, work missed, poor workmanship and a complete lack of project management. Many weeks of stress and tears with the company failing to meet the service I was paying for. No compensation in recognition of all of the issues provided despite numerous complaints. Buyer beware!
Update: West Yorkshire Windows have blocked me from their Facebook page to prevent me from commenting on their adds with honest and politely worded reviews. Their offer for me to reach out is farcical as I have repeatedly contacted with all my attempts to agree a fair price or any sort of recompense for their errors shut down with repeated demands for full payment. Lots of words to save their face in a public domain.

Gone Downhill
We used them before and they were great. However, their service gone downhill and they keep canceling for 12 weeks now after I paid the deposit. They also cancel last minute.
Such a shame.

Worst Service Ever
I really don't know how ANYONE can recommend this APPALLING outfit that advertises as a professional Window company, professional they are not. I highly advise anyone looking for windows, doors or a conservatory, to shop elsewhere and avoid West Yorkshire Windows at all cost (unless you want a poor service and shoddy workmanship). This review is a true reflection of the service we received after our Conservatory had been built. To read about the shambles they caused during the build and just after, see my previous review.
In September 2021 a few months after completion of our Conservatory, we noticed a leak in the roof, letting water in every time it rained. We reported this to West Yorkshire Windows and after a couple of calls we had to make to chase them up, they eventually, grudgingly sent someone out to take a look. When the guy arrived and investigated the issue, he told us he would have to order a new part and come back. We were told this would take a couple of weeks. However, during this time, we had to constantly chase them up to see when this was going to be scheduled in, we made endless phone calls to a very rude receptionist as nobody else in the company would speak to us or offer any help.
Eventually, they did schedule this to be fixed end of November 2021 but low and behold, a few days before the date, they called us and cancelled using delivery delays as an excuse and told us they would let us know a new date, however, again we had to keep chasing them. We were then eventually told it would be in December. They gave us a new date but again just before they were due to come out, they cancelled blaming it this time on staff shortages. We were then eventually given another date in late December, but to our disappointment, yes, they cancelled this again and told us it would now be January 2022 meaning we would have this leak over Christmas. When we called them to complain about this, we were dealt with by a very rude and obnoxious man who is their Head of Customer Service. He treat us with nothing but contempt as he had done throughout this whole terrible experience with this company.
They did eventually come out and fix it in January 2022, 4 months after our initial call to report it.

Unprofessional, Untrustworthy, Extremely Poor Customer Care
West Yorkshire Windows built my £22,000 orangery and still I have outstanding matters and this company refuse to engage and rectify 12 months on. It started with the builder filling a hole in the external brick wall with a lump of concrete rather than doing the job right and using a brick. I was told by the installation manager that a brick could not be used and he continued to attempt to fob me off with this excuse with his patronising unhelpful attitude. After much persistence and challenge the hole was easily filled with a brick as it should of been to begin with.
A glass panel in the roof was clearly scratched and the bifold doors were badly damaged on installation yet the fitters neglected to point this fact out to me on completion and still installed the damaged products without a word hoping that I would not spot the damage which I had to chase up with the company several times. On eventually replacing a roof glass panel the fitters damaged the structure of the roof and once again neglected to point the damage out and just left without a word leaving gaping holes in the brickwork.
The coping stones on the roof have come loose approximately 10 times now and the builder has had to return many times and secure them to prevent them falling off onto someone’s head. During the stones being secured a glass panel on the roof was badly scratched and the company now point blank refuse to replace and rectify this glass panel they have damaged without any explanation, they can’t even be bothered to come out an assess the damage they have caused. Instead they have offered me an insult of a £50 M&S voucher as a goodwill gesture and refuse to reply to my emails or calls.
They replaced a damaged bifold door trim and in doing so drilled 4 new holes in the £5000 bifold door frame that did not need to be there (should of used the existing holes) and then used the wrong screws so the trim fell off the next day and we could not close or secure the door. A different fitter came out the next day and he could not believe what a mess had been made and had to fill and repair the door and fit the correct screws.
In the roof the fitters have used excessive different colour sealant which can be seen overspilling in joints of the glass and looks like an afterthought bodge job with absolute no attention to detail again told by the installation manager this was acceptable.
They have breached the contract we agreed and signed by not providing a building certificate that was promised. The structure was completed in November 2018 and I am still awaiting for the building certificate over 12 months on despite continued chasing and being fobbed off with “we will chase it up”. Having sought independent advice and it should take no longer than 2 months to get a building certificate on completion of the structure. I am also still waiting for documentation for the so called warranty. I have made a complaint and West Yorkshire Windows compliant procedure suggests they will make a decision on how the complaint will be handled in no more than 2 weeks, 2 months later I am still waiting for a decision to be made and nobody ever replies to your emails or answers the phone.
The installation manager is rude, unprofessional and patronising with absolute no focus whatsoever on customer care or satisfaction.
I have referred my case to the Financial Ombudsman and this is my honest open experience with this company and would welcome any comment they would like to make on this review as I can evidence all the above with photographs, emails and lack of any building certificate or warranty.
Hi, I am very sorry to hear of all the problems you encountered with WYW. It sounds like you had a terrible experience. I wish I had read all these reviews before appointing them to build our rear extension.
We also experienced endless problems with them and are now awaiting the Building Certificate and Window Warranty. I am curious to know whether you ever received yours? I really hope you did and everything was ok. Thanks.

Terrible Service From Start To Finish For Our New
Terrible service from start to finish for our new composite front door and new locks and handles for rear patio doors. The front door was fitted incorrectly and the work on the rear door wasn't completed until several weeks after the scheduled installation date. Apparently the wrong handles were supplied by their supplier twice and each time, they didn't have the courtesy to let us know. Eventually they came to finish the work and look at the front door that wouldnt shut properly... The fitters this time were very helpful and pleasant... The admitted that the original installation of the front door was very poor and as a result it took then over an hour and a half to put it right. It took me several emails and multiple phone calls to get him to respond to me and even then he on several occasions mis~led me in terms of when the handles would come and would be fitted. All of this, after I had paid in full, mistakenly trusting them to complete the work quickly after we had been burgled. We needed to feel secure after our ordeal and were left in limbo for weeks, waiting for them to finish their work. Terrible company. Don't use them! Also... The original installation team left lots of mess and several smoked cig buts in our garden. Avoid like the plague!!

Beware! Worst Company Ever!
Beware!
Where do I start with them? We had a 8x4 extention put on the back of our house last year and paid every penny straight away when asked. When the brick work was finished the side wall was about as straight as a snake with cramp. I put a string line down and measured over its 4 metre length and it went in approximately -12mm.
According to British standards BS8000-3 workmanship on building sites allows a deviance of 10mm. When this was pointed out to WYWs they said it was fine and refused to rectify it.
I tried to report this to building control but was told it was under a private company called "Assist building control" which is used and paid by WYWs! so I didn't even have that protection.
When it was finished a friend of mine asked if they had put a concrete base down under the entire floor area. They hadn't. It was just mud. This is a legal requirement so after multiple arguments they finally agreed to do it. The builders turned up and much to my amazement had been instructed by the project manager to fill it through an air brick! That's over 1.5 cubic metres of concrete through an air brick and somehow spread evenly over an 8m x 4m floor. Obviously this was not going to happen. More arguments and the project manager agreed that the entire floor was to be removed and told me this would take 3 days. This room at this point was carpeted, Decorated and fully furnished.
I had to remove the new carpet, dining table and settee and store it all in my living room with no help from WYWs. This went on for nearly 3 weeks NOT 3 days with me having to email the project manager every day explaining all the incompetent actions of him and his team not to mention having to deal with the attitude of his main builder who didn't even know how to set up thier OWN windows and argued with me and my wife very abruptly. Totally unapproachable. It was a joke. They didn't realise they had to remove the skirting boards, radiator etc. In the end I had to do things for them like removing and refitting the radiator just to keep things moving as thier contractor turned up on the wrong days. I also had to take time off work and If you could see the emails you wouldn't believe the project manager's incompetence. They damaged the walls and I had to repair them and repaint them as they wouldn't rectify the damages. Eventually they had finished and I cleared up after them and we finally got back to normal without a thank you or an apology or any compensation of any gesture and of course we still have the out of tolerance BENT WALL.
If you're thinking of using this company take this as a warning and look at my photos on Google maps review.
If you read the other reviews and people take note it may get them to reflect and change thier ways but I doubt it so I can see this company going bust and if that happens then don't loose your hard earned cash.
After Sales Service Is Terrible
Had conservatory built in 2014, poor experience in itself. We had to be on the ball the whole time to make sure the work was done properly. Problem for electrician when he was fitting ceiling spotlights leading to some insulation being removed. 4 years on rusty spotlights that needed replacing due to condensation. WY Windows eventually agreed to replace the lights and sort out the insulation. What a farce, it took 5 weeks before we finally had new lights fitted. This was following various visits to try and fill in the insulation that was then all scraped out again to make room for the massive cheap lights that they fit.

So Many Bad Experiences
1) Conservatory built - they subcontracted the building to what I presume to be the cheapest builder they could find who didn't put footings in deep enough as he hadn't dug them by the time the concrete arrived(!!!!) , so we had to have them dug out again and re-concreted. That should have put me off.
2) They did some soffit and facia work for us and again, contracted it out to the cheapest sub contractor (do they ever do work themselves??) who made a right mess and left me with big holes in my roof saying "I am not a builder its not my job". Took ages to get resolved.
3) For a long time afterwards I was pestered and pestered by sales calls, despite multiple promises to stop calling me. Several months later they just start up again.
4) When a window starts filling up with water (the seal has failed) , I call them to try and see if I can get it fixed under warranty, utterly rude and unhelpful lady answers and eventually hangs up on me after refusing to answer my simple questions about warranty.
Personally, I would shop elsewhere, they just appear to be a hard sell telesales outfit who , from my experience don't do the work at the end of the day. Awful.

Great Product Backed Up By Great Customer Service
I have used West Yorkshire Windows 3 times in total to replace my external doors, patio doors and windows. I think they have given a lot of thought into the products to make them very secure and stylish. This is backed up by the number of comments I have received from people who have walked past the house when I've been outside. I was unfortunate enough to have an attempted break in (via both entrance doors) but they failed to get in which backs up the level of security and quality.
The sales people weren't pushy and were able to answer all my questions and they don't give you one price then reduce it when you say I'll think about it. The fitters were excellent did a first class job and were very tidy. From start to finish a great company to deal with.
