Irritating Too Frequent Phone Calls
We have a solar system installed on our house now and it seems to be working fine, though it’s too early to tell if the numbers will work out like we were told they should. It took a lot of time and headaches to get to this point. But the most irritating thing about the whole experience was the almost daily and then weekly “followup calls to see if [we] had any questions or concerns...” An identical script in dozens of such calls from the EnviroSolar Customer Service Department. At the beginning I did have a question, asked it, and the caller was clueless about our project, and had no answer. Yet the calls continued, always with the exact same script. I repeatedly asked the caller to take us off their call list, told them we had the name and number and would call them if we had questions, and explained nicely that these calls were unnecessary and intrusive. Eventually because they didn’t stop, they became exasperating and then infuriating. I’d long since stopped even answering. They uncannily would call in during work meetings or conference calls — in other words, very inopportune times. And for what?! There were 3 different ones over the course of a many months long project. It wasn’t their fault. It was their job, but what an unfortunate job, and waste of company money! We even asked for help from our original sales rep who had helped with other snafus along the way, but he couldn’t seem to get these ridiculous and totally unnecessary calls to stop. They still continue to this very day, although we have had our system up and running for a couple of months, and have let them know that it appeared all was working fine. For this reason alone, I would never recommend this company to a friend.
Met With the Person I Dealt With tonite About A So
Met with the person I dealt with tonite about a solar package. He was very knowledgible about the product and made it pretty much a no brainer decision. Now to get my financing squared away (cosigner) i hope to become energy independent.

Sales Rep
I had many questions about how this works. I invited a sales rep to my house to explain. After a two hour review, the sales rep was very knowledgeable about my concerns. Our family have come to the conclusion that we are proceeding with the installation. As far as the product, we will decide after the installation. I hope it’s as good as the rep.

Thermodynamic Solar Assisted Heat Pump
Recently I had a thermodynamic solar assisted heat pump fitted. An Assessor's visit was arranged and he explained all the details in full with examples how this would save money when using this product.
Then a Surveyor visited to see where it would be sited and the benefits I would get.
Next was the fitting of the system. All the personnel arrived to fit the unit everyone went to work.they all very pleasant and extremely tidy and cleaned up after the installation. They then showed me how to operate the system. The system was all installed in one day.
The whole process took approximately one week.
I now have hot water without using any gas at all.
If I realised how how quickly it would take to install the system i would not have hesitated as much prior to my purchase.
Hard Sell
I made an appointment with Envirosolar after receiving a cold call. The guy who turned up was very polite and courteous albeit somewhat condescending when explaining how a central Heating System works. I did not expect the appointment to take 3 1/2 hours. Everything was fine until we came to the price. The first price given was extortionate and when I said no in came the hard sell. The price was reduced by a third but when I said I would not be making any decions that day the hard sell got 'harder'. 'Let me phone my office'. Where have I heard that before. The price was further reduced to half the original one given. Still very expensive for what is basically a pump in a box. I challenged the salesmans (sorry Advisers) figures regarding savings to which he got very defensive and finally left as I was getting very agitated. The Central Heating Management System seems to be a good one but not at the extortionate price they want.
Where Is The Rep
Called me yesterday to make an appt for 11am today. No show, no phone call, nothing. Tried the free phone number. Received a spoken message saying there was a fault. Tried to call the number from which I received the original contact. Goes to answer phone which cuts off immediately before you can leave a message. BE VERY WARY OF THIS COMPANY.

Long Delay To Fix Faulty Heating System
My 76 year old mother-in-law's incorrectly installed system breaks down for the 3rd time and she is having to wait nearly 2 weeks to get it sorted at the coldest time of year. Poor show. Need to up their game.

Magic Box A Simple But Effective System.
The engineer was very competent and explained everything to me in easily understandable terms. The radiators were powerflushed and rust inhibitor put into the system. The "magic box" was installed and the system tested to ensure all was well.
The whole job was completed quickly with no mess. Now the radiators are heating all over, no cold spots, and the house is nice and warm. My fuel bills have reduced too!

A Job Well Done!
We are very pleased with the system and wish we had heard about it and had it fitted sooner.
Our fuel usage has gone down tremendously and consequently so have the bills.
Inspite of being many miles from the main offices, everything went according to plan apart from a couple of communication hiccups.
All employees were polite, friendly, tidy, conscious of cleanliness, and tidied up after themselves.
Afterwards we discovered that the boiler manual had not been filled out and although that employee no longer worked for the company, we managed to sort it out.
Q&A
Contact number required - can anyone tell me where I can find it?
We are considering the solar panels on our roof. Worth it? What should we know before signing?
We had solar panels installed by Envirosolar a few years ago and are saving money on our electricity bills.
Before signing, check the direction of your roof and the predicted income compared with the outlay.
