Epson Stylus SX105

Shocking. I've been using inkjet printers for 20 years and this is the biggest waste of money I've ever experienced. The paper feeder often refuses to take the paper. The genuine ink cartridges last half the time of any i have used before. Its FALSE economy as you do in this case get what you pay for - a bad product! I'm going back to HP and i am considering taking a hammer to this noisy slow printer and dropping the pieces off at Epson in Kings Langley!!

My daughter has homework that needs printing from a reliable printer - not detention because the printer refuses to print!!

I bought it in Dec 2008. I had it repaired (under guarantee) in Dec 2009 because the scanner was gone (recognized defect by Epson). in Dec 2010 the machine started to reject the original cartridges as "spent" or "not compatible". I always used 100% original ink, from authorized retailers. As i moved to Thailand Epson is unable to provide any repair service. very disappointed!!! between original ink and printer I spent >100 EUR for about 200 pages of printing!!!

Absolute waste of money.

Very loud. Takes ages to startup. Worst thing is it drinks ink, will not print at all if any cartridge is deemed to be empty and wont print in black if any of the colour cartridges are empty. Its going to be thrown from a great height. Do not buy. Its put me completely off Epson.

really rubbish wish i wouled never of brought it what the hell epson were bloody well thinking of is beyond me i would buy a new printer. It wouldn't print in colours so iwould never buy one

Cartridges last no time at all. I thought it would be cheaper to buy Epson because their cartridges are cheap but if this thing is anything to go by they're cheap for a reason - there's no ink in them! I've only used genuine Epson cartridges. Plus you have to buy all the cartridges and keep them all topped up in order to print even in black. Scanner is fine and the print quality is OK but certainly no savings to be had buying this printer. My old printer used to have £20-£30 cartridges but you put them in and forgot about it for an age. I'm changing the cartridges monthly and don't print much.

This printer is going in the bin. Yes - I've been using compatible cartridges, but even so the printer needs "head cleaning" after printing only two pages.

The scanner works well, but as a printer it's a total waste of money. Don't buy it.

Very very bad purchase!!

The ink ends very quickly, the Epson Stylus printer does not print in draft mode which makes you spend more ink. It takes forever to start printing and when it does print takes a long time to finish. Very noisy too!

The printer looks good but it is not worth the price you pay for.
