HP Photosmart C7180

Mine worked well for a few months..

HP technical support seems to be wholly computer generated and is not 100% in my opinion.

An expensive machine that is now useless and HP do not seem to be able to solve the problem I feel. Therefore I do not recommend HP Photosmart C7180 All In One Printer.

I specifically wanted a wireless all in one printer that doesnt take 4 minutes to clean and prepare itself to print 1 page even if it was on and in sleep mode - my 1yr old cannon MP520 all in one was the worst I had ever seen for this. I have seen reviews stating this printer is slow and takes time to get going, but if left on, as I do with all my printers, it puts itself in to hibernate and then wakes up the second you press print, within 20 seconds it off - both my brother and cannon all in ones took closer to 4 minutes to do this. Its a bit on the large side, but very stylish with a beautiful lcd display, all the functions work well, especially the copy and double side printing. There are better all in one printers out there for the money, but if you want the HP quality and backup and the all important wireless this is as good as it gets.

The Photosmart C7180 is an excellent multifunction printer which I am very happy with apart from the fact that I have to waste time restarting it and/or the computer when I want to use it. Customer services, both email and interactive have been unable to resolve this problem since March (six months)- the technicians appear to be quoting sections from the troubleshooting guide in the manual rather than using their own expertise.
