Excellent All Round Printer
I've been using mine heavily for years with absolutely no problems until recently it refused to load photo paper and card. This turned out to be the pickup rollers requiring cleaning, an easy job which took about 30 minutes, and no problems since. Excellent printing and very good photo prints too.

I Don't Normally Write Reviews, But This Printer D
I don't normally write reviews, but this printer deserves a glowing one. Had it for years, which I can't say about any other printer I've owned. It just keeps going. I use re-manufactured cartridges which seem to work just fine, and they don't seem to need replacing very often. If this printer does ever fail in my lifetime. I'll buy another HP Deskjet 1220c (if they're still for sale.)

I Love This Printer! I've Had It For Years, No Pro
I love this printer! I've had it for years, no problems. Excellent quality print which is very important to me. Only single drawback is it wasn't happy trying to print on card. Apart from that absolutely no problems and it has been used very very heavily every day.

At Time Of Purchase (2002?) The 1220c Offered Valu
At time of purchase (2002?) the 1220C offered value for money as a postscript compatible A3(+) printer. I suppose it has lasted well and image quality is potentially great, but otherwise this printer has been very frustrating! Firstly, postscript compatibility was only available using the bundled OS9 Press Ready software, which was excellent but soon became redundant. Secondly, print quality is let down by streaks on every single printout, caused because the machine frequently fails to load photo paper yet continues to print the whole job, coating the mechanism in swathes of wasted ink which cannot be cleaned. Over the years I've complained and returned so much jammed photo paper on the basis the manufacturer said it was HPDJ1220C compatible - reading this I finally realise it was in fact a common fault with the 1220C itself!

I Don't Have Any Complains About This Printer, It
I don't have any complains about this printer, it is working very fine for me. The print quality is good, fast and efficient. I only have trouble setting it up at first but when got hold of the manual, then it would be alright.
The ink was quite good, but sometimes when printing photographs with vivid images, it tends to consume a lot of ink

Recently The Photopapers Get Stuck During Feeding
Recently the photopapers get stuck during feeding and the printer continues wasting the ink without recognizing that the paper is stuck. Also, it does not pick 180gsm photo papers. I havent tried other thickness.
We have been using this HP Deskjet 1220C printer for a longtime (3 yrs) now and it prints excellent on normal papers (both A4/A3) and it used to print excellent copies on photopaper.
