Customer Since They Began But .....

Have been using Kashflow for over ten years now, pretty much from when they started and have found it easy up until now! Since Kashflow changed over tot he newer version after MTD (Making Tax Digital) it now no longer can reconcile your bank accounts, it keeps giving the wrong starting balance for the date, so cannot reconcile any future accounts as does not add up. I have spent the last three months trying to get this fixed with Kashflow Support but all I keep getting is inane answers or them telling me to go back over my accounts as I have changed or deleted something resulting in the wrong balance. This is not the case and one of the helpful support workers painstakingly went back through each and every one of my bank reconciliations checking and agreed that my entries matched my bank statements, so why Kashflow has changed the figures we have no idea and it seems Kashflow do not know how to fix this. All they keep saying it to go back and delete all of my incorrect bank reconciliations, which means going back over seven years and re-entering the whole lot again, which I cannot do as I no longer have the bank statements from over seven years ago!!! They are no help and are now ignoring my emails! I am definitely going to cancel my subscription and try another accounting software.

Counter Intuitive, Glitchy, Difficult To Use.

Extreme difficulty in the reconciling sales ledger, purchase ledger and also to some extent bank statements. The software has clearly been written by someone who knows nothing about how to compile a set of accounts. You have to dart backwards and forwards from one screen to another trying to figure out which invoices to apply a payment to. It will not give you a debits/credits breakdown of a supplier/customer account in order to easily reconcile the payments to invoices. Instead, when trying to allocate a payment, you get a massive list of "every" single invoice from all accounts, even though you know which customer it applies to and don't need to have to sift through hundreds of lines of data.

Weird glitches on report dates and so on, which in turn cause problems with accounting reconciliations and reports.

The method it manages VAT cash accounting is completely inadequate, as it does not tie in the VAT on sales and purchase invoices to the money received. Instead it simply works it out based on the money going into and out of the bank account, which of course may be wrong as you not likely to remember which invoices were zero rated or standard rated etc.

Really really regretting moving from our previous software to this as it is causing a nightmare.

Dishonest Business Practice

It was great until like many others I realised I was overpaying, I tried to change my subscription but the site is totally misleading and my card was immediately charged for the old subscription amount, when I complained I was basically told that was tough. So buyer beware, highly dishonest company when you want customer service.

I actually have a screenshot of the page saying I will not be charged and will be using this to assist my counter claim with VISA.

Absolutely Awful Unless You Are A Tiny Business

I have started a new job which uses Kashflow. I previously used Sage Professional which was awesome. This is like going back to the dark ages. I keep getting timed out, you can't see anything. If you are hoping to grow your business don't start with this!

An Accounting Package That Cant Adhere To It's Own Terms?

An accounting package that cant adhere to it's own terms? The free trial was supposed to be until the 27th......Got billed on the 26th. Does that inspire me to have confidence in them? Erm.....NOPE!!

The Package Calculates Vat Incorrect For 6 Mths! No Fix Yet.

I am a small business and have been very happy with them until the past two VAT quarters. The package began to miscalculate VAT returns. As you can never call them, you have to rely on emails, always very slow to answer. The same fault from 6 months ago is still present.

The initial fault was that if you amended an entry that may of been part of an earlier VAT return it would include the whole amount again on your VAT return.

It got to the point that every time I looked at Kashflow to see if it was fixed I found a different VAT calculation.

The current state of play is that my accountant is working my VAT out manually and submitting electronically outside of Kashflow. Im still awaiting the problem to be fixed.

How long this problem will last I have no idea. One very unhappy customer who is paying for a product he cannot use to its full extent. Come back Sage, all is forgiven :-)

Once Again Another 2 Hours Wasted

Been with this set up for around 3 years, I'm tired of it now, spend untold hours writing quotes and invoices only to press save and unbeknown to you you've probably been logged out for over an hour and just wasted the entire morning.....sick of it

Beware Kashflow Support.

My main concern was that when an issue arises, the support is only by e-mail. They tend to cut and paste stock responses. I had one simple issue that took best part of a week and used up so much of my time. Basically boiled down the fact they’d lost our data, and didn’t want to admit to it. So although it is keenly prices – you’ll waist so much time, so it's a false economy using KashFlow. Oh – they only give phone support when you on trial (so don't be foxed by that). Some other issues: not many experts out there, so hard to recruit staff that know it. You can’t stream bank statements through it and they lead you along, i.e. promise things will happen any day or month now, but they never do. They’re just trying to get another months payment out of you.

Beware There Are Serious Bugs In The Software!

Beware of this software it is not fit for purpose. My client left the cash accounting for VAT scheme as he had reached the threshold. We followed Kashflow's instructions to do this in the software. It didn't work and the next VAT return was not calculating correctly. I contacted them over 4 weeks before the VAT return was due and after sending numerous emails they finally replied on the day the VAT return was due to be submitted telling me that their programmers in India had run a script that had corrupted my VAT data and that I would have to prepare a manual vat return in excel using data from sales, purchases and bank. They still couldn't resolve the issue before the following VAT return and I had to prepare the next one manually as well. As well as this serious problem the support service was appalling. They were extremely slow to respond and when they did respond it was clear they did not understand basic accounting fundamentals.

After Sales Help... Poor!!!

The after sales service here is really poor, email support only, no human to call, nothing like the VT. Very disappointing

Be careful with pricing in kashflow. They charge new customers £10 per month but to older customers like me they still charge £20 per month. I called them and they refuse to listen!!!
