Very Little New Functionality In The Software
We have been Mamut users for over 10 years and have found the product very robust, easy to update and easy to use. However, a few years ago Mamut nearly doubled the support charges to way above the industry standard of 20% and seem to stop all major development of the software. This years update 2020 has seen virtually no new features and this is the same for the last 5 years. When asked for an update list of features for the last few years I was told there are no new features so we no longer do a list. It seems to me that the new owners Visma are developing many new features on their hosted product and are just milking existing Mamut customers as they know the cost and time to move is prohibitive.

Look For Something Else. This Software Has Serious Problems.
I have been a Mamut Enterprise E3 user for 10 years, and now I am fed up with the problems that never get solved.
The final drop: Mamut fails when sending invoices by email, and they are not able to fix the problem.
Many development companies are raised day by day which makes customer to confuse about the quality and services. Approlabs are the best Mobile App Development Company provides various services on app development with excellent quality. Want more details visit my page: https://approlabs.com/app-development/

Not Like The Old Dayd
Mamut software used to be excellent. Then they sold to Visma and it's gone hugely down hill. Couldn't sort out an issue for months on end to do with VAT. Do not recommend

Worst Customer Support In History
This is the worst sales/ accountancy package I have ever used. I almost switched back to BPICS. The customer support is non existant, and they fail to solve the simplisit of problems. Avoid at all costs. ITs also a rip off, I got roped into using it for 3 years, no switching to sales force.

Terrible Software, Terrible Support. - Do Not Buy.
A sales man came to see us after us receiving funding. The Several thousand pounds it actually costs after the quote (quote as in fictitious, made up figures to get you to commit to it).
We then moved over to Mamut and found a subsidiary of Mamut to help with our data export/import. (Yet another expensive cost).
We have been using the software for 2 years now and the Software is constantly failing, but the most frustrating part of Mamut is ...
When you have an error the support is abysmal. We have been without a computer system now for 4 days and Mamut support is still unable to fix what is obviously a simple database error.
Mamut are not bothered about existing customers once they have your money.
Although the people who sell it must be on good commission to sell it.
We are now having to invest a lot of money to get addons to do the job it was supposed to do in the first place.
DO NOT BUY IT.

Microsoft Professional Fan
Working in various positions in finance from desk clerk to finance director for nearly 2 decades I've come across a wide variety of accounting packages, I've seen many implementations and worked with many packages. I can say that with a massive distance Mamut is by far the worst accounting program I've ever worked with and it is not even necessary to take the cost into account to win that comparison.
In the pre digital era people worked with ledger books. In my perception the best accounting software is extremely simple to use and extremely simple to implement. The most important aspect however is that the time saving outweighs the cost so that you actually make money by saving on your overheads as a result of using an accounting package.
This made me a big fan of MSO Professional the most profitable accounting software I ever used, being a big fan of MSO professional was the reason I tried Mamut. That proved to be the worst decision I've ever made in my career. It is slow, not efficient, and not flexible and the learning curve is enormous even if you have worked and implemented accounting software for years. For a small business it is a definitive no no. An experienced accountant can work with it, but will very likely soon regret giving up his previous program in exchange for Mamut. In addition their customer service is poor and they don't score well on a cost comparison either.
The only thing great about Mamut is their sales strategy. That is where it stops. If the historical destiny of their namesake is any indication I'm pretty sure that once people start catching on to what Mamut really is a great marketed brand but a horrible product and service, we all know were Mamut will end. Good riddance I would say. This animal should never have been resurrected for it once was a majestic animal, nowadays it is a monstrosity pretending to be a great software accounting package.

Used To Be Fantastic
We've been using MYOB Accounting Edge Plus and its predecessors for about 8 years. It used to be a fantastic product but since Mamut took over it's just got progressively worse. What's more they're pretty unethical to deal with - for example, they send you an invoice for your renewal one month before the end of your term and then tell you you have to give three months notice to cancel.
The product still works well but it's not really progressed in 8 years and there is still no web based solution available. Every upgrade they release crashes our servers.
I'd now recommend looking at alternatives like Sage, which we plan to move to later this year.

Poor Company
I've been using this software for about 6-7 years. The software is good although look and interface is very outdated and almost childlike. The company that now owns the software is very poor. They have extended there terms which they describe as for my benefit, but they have extended backwards. You now have to pay early and within you existing license period. They have effectively invoiced twice in the same financial year. The customer service agent describes this as helping me plan cash flow. It does the opposite, taking money out of the business way before it's due.
There are now other products in the market from other companies that are better and if I was starting now I would go elsewhere. They are aggressive with a smile.

Great Value For Money
My company bought Mamut Enterprise about 6 months ago now. We were looking for a system that included networking capability, CRM, Accounts and rich stock control functionality after outgrowing Quickbooks. We evaluated the software first and after comparing to other vendors we took the plunge based on the functionality Mamut includes and price. The software is not that intuitive so it took some time to get to grips with. However, 6 months on its one of the best business decisions we have made. Support have been excellent when required and help files on their web site and within the software are useful, (although they are not open at weekends). We have just set up Mamut online desktop which will allow our sales reps to process through orders on their smart phones while on the road, which will really help our business. All in all a really good system.
I honestly do not believe that an independent user of Mamut could ever be optimistic about the product. Either he has never worked with another product "any" would do for that test or he his aligned. I might be doing you an injustice with my comment if so sorry and please consider trying another package just to make sure Mamut deserves your praise.
Dont Buy Mamut
I have used MYOB for 5 years and was duped into believing that I needed Mamut. I purchased the version with CRM, Stock Control etc but never got to implement it. I was told there was a tool to transfer data from MYOB but then when I asked for the tool it was no longer available. I have worked on numerous ERP implementations as an IT consultant but this software just doesnt make it easy for you to use it. It took them months to get back to me as the licence kept becoming out of date. They had me on a temp licence instead of a full licence even though I had paid them for everything up front. In the end I got so frustrated that I just told them to cancel my licence. No refund was available. In short a terrible business to deal with (if you can get through to somebody) and no support on line. Dont do it.
