Pinnacle Studio 11

How on earth did Pinnacle deem this piece of software ready for release. A lot of the key features don't work properly and it constantly crashes.

Stablilty is a major issue. Sometimes when it crashes you'll get the blue screen of death and have to completely restart your computer. Other times just the studio application crashes and this launches the pinnacle error reporting system which expects you to sit and wait for about 10 minutes while it's "gathering system information" then wants you to write an essay about what causes the crash. Doubt anyone could be bothered using this after the first couple of crashes. The absolute worst thing is that sometimes it will crash when you click on "Save project" At this point it completely wipes out the project and any previously saved work.

For some reason when Studio is open it takes over and hogs the computers audio driver. There is no sound in any other application while Pinnacle is running.

Creating a movie from a finished project doesn't work properly. After carefully editing frame by frame in edit mode I discover that the created movie doesn't match what I created in edit mode. there seems to be black frames inserted inbetween the clips that aren't there in edit mode. Also it often seem to cut a second or to off the beginning of the video.

These are the major issues but there are literally hundreds of little bugs and glitches too numerous to list them all.

This is an absolutely terrible piece of software. Wouldn't recommend it even if it were free.
