I Was Very Disappointed That This Software Does No

I was very disappointed that this software does not create the time and date stamp and there are no future plans to rectify this. A lot of money for a heap of rubbish

I have been using Studio for some years now. I originally bought Studio 7.0 and am now non Studio 9.4.3.

I have always lived in hope that the software would eventually get sorted out and that is why I paid for the upgrade. When it works it is okay, has some nice features, BUT you get the feeling that Pinnacle just cannot get it right. Just recently I have found yet another flaw with the software and even considered upgrading, but then I thought enough is enough, let's put this down to experience and move on.

I work in IT as a hardware engineer and use my PC a lot and do not have any issues with any other software but Studio.

If, Like Me You Are Sick And Tired Of The Irritati

If, like me you are sick and tired of the irritating "program not responding... send error report" dialogue boxes, then Pinnacle is not for you. I am currently (not) using studio 10 - there are much better video editing suites out there on the market for around the same price.

I would avoid this product at all costs.

Easy To Use, Does Everything It Says If You Read T

Easy to use, does everything it says if you read the instructions fully. Most people do not have a system up to the standard required to video edit with out problems. I have used different software over the years to video edit and pinnicles is one of the easiest to use and fastest. But you need to do your homework, ie defragging harddrives as is the normal for editing work. stop all background task again normal. Have at least 2 harddives as a minium. 1 harddrive is no use in video editing and you need large harddrives and a minium of 1gb ram for good performance again standard practice for video editing. Ttrying to crack a walnut with a pair of tweezers will not work. Good and very good value for money.

The box said it did what I wanted it to do, but the Pinnacle Studio 9 video creation and editing software made Windows Explorer crash - every time. Impossible to delete created files. Actually impossible to completely uninstall. A waste of money at whatever price.

The Pinnacle Studio 9.0 Video Creation And Editing

The Pinnacle Studio 9.0 Video creation and editing software is highly unstable.

Whatever good points it may have, are negated by the fact that it hangs or crashes frequently, particularly during editing.

I am seriously considering reporting this product to the Trading Standards people.

I have used Pinnacle Studio for quite a while now and the only real operational problem I've had has been its annoying tendency to freeze frame in the preview window. Bearing in mind my machine is no slouch - AMD 64/3200+/1Gb RAM, 256Mb video - there is no hardware justification for this happening.

My biggest gripe is its DVD burning quality. I recently compiled a 30-minute video and burned it to DVD. The quality of the AVI files was fine on the PC, but when I watched the DVD on the TV, the picture quality was absolutely awful and some of the soundtrack sounded 'phased'. Several of the sections looked like they were recorded in Jerko-Vision.

Decidedly unhappy with this, I took the exact same files and assembled them into Ulead DVD workshop, knocked up a menu (these are rubbish in Pinnacle Studio) and burned a DVD. Result - perfect!

The only good thing about Studio is that it's easy to mess about with and learn, so as a freebie it's just about OK. Then when you've learned a bit, you can get a decent product.

Stay Away From Studio 9 - Having Successfully Used

Stay away from Studio 9 - having successfully used Studio 8 with my Belkin USB Videobus II to capture video fro my VCR, have been told that it will not work with Studio 9 and more importantly will NOW not work with Studio 8 either!! A very disappointing waste of money!! don't buy it!!

I Have To Report That This Pinnacle Studio 9.0 Vid

I have to report that this Pinnacle Studio 9.0 Video creation and editing software does not work with my hardware, which is a recently installed 2.2 GHz Athlon with ample graphics capabilities on a very good ASUS Mobo.

Pinnacle are guilty, at the very least, of totally immoral marketing practices. The problem I have is that the video capture card I have, whilst it functions perfectly well with Windows Movie Maker 2.0, does not work with Studio 9. I purchased Studio 9 because of the reviews in the press and the fact that I need to cut DVDs direct from the software, which Windows Movie Maker isn't capable of.

My voluminous and highly frustrating mail exchanges with Pinnacle reveal that only Pinnacle hardware (graphics / capture cards) work with Studio 9 plus an humungously expensive ATI All-in-Wonder graphics card, which I absolutely don't need because I already have perfectly adequate nVidea graphics on board.

So, what are we to do? Sue Pinnacle for breeching the Sale of Goods Act, because it effectively does not do what it says on the box and it does not tell you these limitations anywhere on the packaging the software comes in (e.g. System Requirements?). Or shall we simply strive to involve the press, which I have already started to do, to expose their disreputable behaviour towards the consumer?

I have no doubt the product works as well as the reviews say it does, but this closed shop compatibility issue is a real stinker! JA

I Have Been Trying For Days To Create A 10 Minute

I have been trying for days to create a 10 minute video with Pinnacle Studio 9.0 video creation and editing software. First I had problems capturing the video. Fianlly I worked around that with no help from the Tech. staff at Pinnacle. Now i can't render and burn a DVD, I did everything in their instruction manual and still does not work, e-mailed the tech. people and they want to do everything except sell my first born.

To many bugs, stay away, don't buy this program!
