Very Good Navigation
the navigation is very good and helpful it has a very good menu it shows me where ever I want to go it is very helpful and the only problem is that sometimes it shows me the wrong maps and places it is very easy to work with because it is touch screen the size is very good it is not too big and not too small the charge is very good it does not finish very fast it stays for the right time

Do not be stupid with this cheap device (actually it is not cheap for the what you get), do not waist your money.
Example1: You stay at Crescent Road N22> enter Selborne Road, N22 7TH. Binatone will bring you to the Selborne Road, N14 7TH (!!!!!). Any location you starting from (tried from EN3 and N9) will result at the Selborne Road, N14(!!!).
Example2: You stay at N9, Edmonton Green>enter Crescent Road N22 and this device (costs by the way £60.00), will track you down to the Crescent Road N11 (!!!).
Screen brightness (bad): at the midday you`ll see nothing on it.

Binatone Never Again
This sat nav really looks good on the Argos catalogue and still does look good out of the box, also the price is brilliant; However I soon realized that as soon as you buy it you are out of date in that the map update really is few years old (in my case six years old) that means that the sat nav guide you out of your way. To get an update you must buy it from Binatone for 36£, add to this the fact that if you want the update you must post the whole sat nav to them and wait to get it back. It is unfair that you buy an item that is not up to date, they should clearly write it on the box. If i could go back I would not buy this product and any other Binatone sat nav. In this let me add that two of my friends bought similar Binatone sat nav and have the same problem. We all bought it from Argos and when we realized that it is not worth it , it was too late to give it back to the shop. Better I spend more money in a sat nav that does what it says on the box.
Brilliant description of the "device"!!!

It Is A Very Cheap Gadjet For Neverybody To Learn
it is a very cheap gadjet for neverybody to learn the navigation game.
It tells you to keep left on the motorway so you dont find yourself blocked in the right lane when your turn off comes.
Your trvelspeed can be switched from walking to speeding and you will find it tells you 500 yards 200 and 100 yards to turn.
It updated the local map within a month with the lanes in our housing estate and gives now perfectly all rigt and left turns.
you can safe maps on a 2 gb memocard and help the navigator to create a better picture next time.
I am just working on a programm to link to google earth to lpreload from there the finer destinations like backyards and carparks.
I think i walk withe it for 2 hours and it tracks my way and memorises it as footpassenger. I can also use it on a bike. the screen can be seen very clearly and it falls often down and has no damage.Check your sattelite reception when you get errors. And pray for an upgrade of software but please compressed so not to waist usefull memoryspace which makes woprk slower.
And at last safe Journey the sun rises in the east and sets in the south.

I Have Owned One Of These Sat. Navs Since I Sadly
I have owned one of these sat. navs since I sadly had to replace another sat. nav I had (brilliant) I have many times been tempted to launch it through the window of the car into the nearest body of water - if it could get me to one!
Steer well clear (no pun intended) of this system. It has been christened 'B---h' in my car and actually it's one redeaming feature is that it has helped me with my diet - how so? well, everytime I ask it to find the nearest macdonalds (from preprogrammed points of interest) it fails thus I get to my first job everyday, tired, angry and hungry! Seriously I wonder how many RTA'S have been caused by this DANGOUROUSLY inadequate piece of ----, sorry I mean kit! .... I know I had an accident I would never have had if it wern't for having to turn round in Liverpool because IT did not know where the birkenhead tunnel was....and that involved a bus!....Any lawyer want to do a no win no fee for me?
Q&A
Where can I get a manual for Binatone A430?
How do I update the unit?
