I Purchased This Beltronics 935 Express New For On
I purchased this Beltronics 935 Express new for only US$75, and I have to say it was worked very well. It provides good warning, even at angles, and I've never had a close call.
Not too useful when it comes to laser, I mean, it works fine, but as it is a detector, not a jammer, there's not much you can do. Laser detectors only help when you get a luck break and pick up a reflected beam to give you a warning.
Only problem I had was after I had it mounted for a few weeks, I took it down to stick in the shade on a hot day. Then when I tried to remount it, it wouldn't "click in" to the mount. I think something in the internal mount snapped, easily fixed... put a small piece of duct tape over the mount end and it fits nice and snug.
Otherwise, great. Very reasonable, you can get them used for as low as US$50, new US$75 - US$100. But if you are an heavy speeder (greater than 80 in a 65) you might need something better.

Ease Of Use And Ergonomics Aren't There, The Beltr
Ease of use and ergonomics aren't there, the Beltronics 935 Express needs a more solid design. I will get back to you on the signal review, but from what I have seen so far my wifes Escort 7500 works better than this. I prefer Escorts styling and ergonomics, the Escorts seem to be better overall. (I have "rented" many units, Escort 7500 & 8500, Cobra, Whistler, Rocky Mountain, etc.
By far I love the 8500 from Escort and haven't had the chance to get and test a Valentine.
