Audiovox CDM 8600

My mom used the Audiovox CDM 8600 mobile phone for around 5 months then needed a bluetooth, so she gave this one to me.

The case scratches very easily, and the ringtones have no regular tones. Yesterday I dropped it from knee height and it was fine, but after 10 minutes I looked at the outside LCD screen and it showed nothing. I'm hoping that its service ends soon.

Bought two Audiovox CDM 8600 in May from Verizon. One has been fine. The other has been replaced twice. The first phone didn't last the day, and the second phone lasted about a month before going dead. The third phone, my current one, is about to go back for repair. It freezes up (have to take the battery out to unfreeze it) and the reception, which was good until yesterday, has suddenly all but died, even within spitting distance of one of their towers.

I purchased an Audiovox CDM 8600 mobile phone in November 2003 and since then it was in for service 3 times. After the 3rd time, the store just said you are a good customer I will just replace the phone with a brand new one for you. I said thanks. However, since I got the new phone, it isn't any better. I am having the same issues. Phone freezes up and I lose all the information I manually entered into the phone. I can't get the pictures that I select for my callers to be displayed. I can't select different ringtones for different callers. So I called Audiovox directly and the tech did some troubleshooting over the phone. After a few things, he said "well I can't do any more troubleshooting over the phone. You will have to send the phone to us for our techs to take a look at it for you". Well I have done that three times and my problems have not been resolved. Even after the store replaced the phone, they weren't resolved. I guess I am just stuck with a below standard phone, that I paid good money for.

I did do some research on the phone before purchasing it and saw quite a few good reviews. That is why I went ahead and purchased one of these phones. I am now going to go back to those sites to write my own review based on my personal experiences with my Audiovox CDM 8600 and the customer service at Audiovox.

I got this Audiovox CDM 8600 mobile phone today and its so good!

judging by all it has its this phone is the best ive seen so far, Im impressed! It has no games, but they can be downloaded of course. I did not check the reception yet but it seems good, because I called my house and everything seemed fine. My house phone is not the best, but my audiovox did an amazing job! Plus its sooooo stylish! The ringtones rul! I would reccommend this phone for everybody, small, stylish, lots of stuff to do, not enough for gadget freaks though! 1x ready so internet is fast, this phone just has everything and its so easy to use, plus it has the screen on the outside! I will add points to the reception of this phone later on, so check back!
