Buyers beware I have had three in 18 months all with the same fault.First they start to freeze and then they start to switch themselves on and off ! Eventually you get complete malfunction and that is the end of your phone! No support from Ericsson unless you are willing to pay extortionate charges!Don't touch one with a bargepole!!!!

Works great. Nice little stylish phone, with many features. There is only one thing I don't like: although it can receive, it can't send nokia picture messages.

Phone Has Good Battery Life, Clarity, And Selectio
Phone has good battery life, clarity, and selection of games. Good quality LCD.
However I've noticed that it chips easily: the microphone is also inside the flip which created major problems when this fell off. Avoid flip phones with the mic inside!
It doesn't have predictive text either, which makes SMS sending slow (the buttons on the phone are quite small).
The microphone in the flip leads to better sound quality. Especially when there is a lot of noise in the background

The T29 Is Is My Third Ericsson Mobile Phone. My O
The T29 is is my third Ericsson mobile phone. My other two are the T10 and the T20, which I sold and then bought the T29. It is an excellent little phone for its size and price. In my country, the Nokia 3330, with more or less the same major features costs atleast 15% more. Also, you cannot carry a Nokia 3330 in your front shirt pocket without having it bulge out obscenely. It's display is compact, but shows everything with amazing clarity. The menus are the most easiest to navigate on any phone. You could get lost pretty easily on a Nokia. The buttons are a bit too small, but then that is the price you would have to pay for miniaturisation. The voice dialling is very good, being able to distinguish between multi syllable names. The ringer is very loud too, especially in the mixed, low, medium and high ringtones, which is especialy useful for when you are working outdoors, like I do often. The standard battery which I got with it was the 850ma battery, which bulges slightly outwards from the back, but it allows you to have a comfortable grip on the phone. It lasts for about 3-4 days of continous standby and normal use, which I think is pretty good, and much better than the Nokia. I also have the 500ma flush fitting battery, which gives me about 2 days of use, it charges in an hour, which is very convenient for me. The electroluminescent backlight is very cute. It is very bright, and in the night, it could almost double up as a torch, thats how bright it is. I would recommend this phone to anyone and everyone, it is certainly the best value for your money. :)
Could someone email me the answer to the above question also!!!!!!

I Have Now Had Three Of These Ericsson T29 Mobile
I have now had three of these Ericsson T29 mobile phones. The switch on the side broke on the first one. The number key pad broke on the second phone twice, and then I got a complete malfunction. So far the third is OK - only the side switch rattles. Even with all this I love the phone. Maybe the first two were duds.

There Is Little Difference Between The Ericsson T2
There is little difference between the Ericsson T29 and Nokia 3330 mobile phones as far as features go, but there is a vast difference in the styling. Overall, it's a matter of personal preference, but those who claim that Ericsson's 'flip' platform is outdated are probably right.
The T29's status screen, which shows exactly the remaining standby and talk time, is helpful. However, it provides little consolation for what I would consider to be disappointing overall battery life. Moderate to heavy users should therefore factor in the cost of a car charger, or high capacity battery. The good news is that, assuming that you use a genuine Ericsson battery, the charging process is reasonably fast.
It is true that the small screen and cramped keypad may deter some people but, in my opinion, it is only a minor annoyance. Whilst the screen can handle only three lines of text, it would be fair to point out that it is very easy to read due to its high resolution.
Sound quality is good, but I don't think it's quite as good as the Nokia counterpart. Text entry on the T29 is a tad slow, but it is still a big improvement on previous models. Also, I guess that as a recently released model, is is unforgiveable that Ericsson neglected to offer T9 text input on the T29.
Given the choice, I would personally probably prefer a Nokia. Nevertheless, the T29 is a stylish and functional phone which clearly shows that SonyEricsson intend to give Nokia some stiff competition.
