LG KC910 Renoir

I received my LG KC910 3 weeks ago and over this period of time it has worked for about 4 days. The phone freezes and shuts itself off. Latterly it would look like it was on but nothing would appear on the screen other than a very faint background light then it would fade out. The battery is fully charged and I haven’t had it on or used it enough to use up any of the handset memory. I am very disappointed in the company I bought it from as they are ignoring my messages that I have issues. They did not take so long to take the money from my account. Shame really as sound quality, picture clarity and ease of use was great..if only it would work. Waste of money.

I expect in this day and age any mobile phone to work but this phone will not even perform the basic functions.

Had this phone for about 2 years now, never had a problem with it. Call quality is good, reception good and living on a steel boat thats kind of important, camera is great, flash is reasonable for a phone, use it as a music player all the time with bluetooth stereo headphones and all works well.

Well worth getting. Just had an upgrade (samsung) which I've given to my other half to use, as I'm perfectly happy with the phone I've got.

Only negative is the gps function, waste of time.

The camera is superb, but if you want to make calls forget it, reception is a total joke, on O2 at least, had it 10 months and apart from the camera cant wait to get rid !

The only good thing about this LG KC910 Renoir phone was the camera which was excellent! - the touch screen wasnt precise and the phone froze regularly. It wouldnt sync with windows vista and was quite heavy and bulky too. I personally wouldnt recommend this phone to anyone unless it was to take photos with only!

I have had this LG KC910 Renoir phone for a while now and I have to say I can not wait until I can upgrade it! the plus points are camera,it has a great camera with loads of extra features that you can play around with, and the touch screen is good.. when it does'nt freeze!

The downsides are terrible reception but that could just be 3,the screen freezes regularly and if you want skype you are out of luck ,everytime I tried to load skype it crashed all the internet settings on the phone and as I am writing this it is back at 3 for repair again for this reason. As other people have said it doesnt work with vista so you can't do updates via your laptop etc if thats what you use.

the lg renoir is ok if you use the camera or like lots of music on your phone if you want to use it foe the web then I would advise you to pick a different phone.

The LG KC910 Renoir phone is a little flimsy ... port covers go missing very quickly .... no audio out jack ... and the menu system is not very intuitive ...camera is good though ... the UNFORGIVABLE problem for a phone that is not that old is that it wont sync with Vista and they don't tell you that when you buy it !!!!!

It's an OK phone. Not brilliant but not the best. Has a mix of good and bad points and some annoyances.

The LG KC910 Renoir us very disappointing, I have just upgraded to Vista and have been told by LG Support that they do not have software to sync with my PC.

The LG KC910 Renoir is easy to use, nice style, excellent touch screen.

Unlike the Pixon the pc studio sync software actually seems to work and work well. I was really nervous that it wouldn't after the Samsung software first triplicated all my appointments, tasks and contacts in outlook and then deleted them all that this would do the same. The LG pc studio has however obviously been thoroughly tested and there are no bugs in it that I can see. The only clunk is the pc connection wizard operates everytime it is connected by in comparison this is so minor as to be perfectly bearable. This phone also has the benefit of wifi which is a real plus when near an access point or at home and saves money in doing so.

In summary this is a well thought out phone with excellent features and when you use it you can see why Samsung would seem to want to rush out the Pixon to compete with it. Samsung told me that there are bug fixes for the phone and software coming 'sometime in 2009' but they couldn't say when. My advice get this phone, I doubt if you will regret it.
