I Love That The Nokia 6101 Looks So Sophisticated
I love that the Nokia 6101 looks so sophisticated and is cheap. I love the size of the buttons as they're big enough to be able to text and not make mistakes. One negative point is it scratches easily. I had a mock on it thinking I was protecting it and it still scratched. I dropped it accidentally but the damage wasn't too bad, a few scratches on the silver part, but I guess wear and tear. Bit disappointed the phone scratched the way it did, I thought the silver bit would be stronger. Overall the best phone I've had. I've had a Motorola V3 and the 6101 runs rings around it.

I've Had My Nokia 6101 Mobile Phone For A While, A
I've had my Nokia 6101 mobile phone for a while, and it's done nothing but impress me. Every day I find something new and advanced about it, and it has already been through a lot. It fell out of my pocket and down cement stairs. It's been stepped on, dropped into a pool, and I accidentally ran over it with my car AND IT'S STILL WORKING PERFECTLY FINE. It's got lots of scratches now, but what phone wouldn't after all of that? It's working like new still though.
It's an amazing phone! I would recommend it to anyone.

After Only One Month I Noticed Hairline Scratches
After only one month I noticed hairline scratches underneath the screen of my Nokia 6101. I don't remember dropping it, but, I may have possibly rolled over on it while I was sleeping. So, most of my screen is blackened. It is hard to see on the interior screen to make outgoing calls. My husband's phone just quit working last week. We don't know why. He did absolutely nothing. It was not dropped, wet, etc. It just quit for no reason. He did take it apart and wiped the inside really well. It worked for a few hours and then died again. It was not exposed to moisture so we just don't get it. They are flimsy phones. Pretty, but flimsy. Not worth it. Unfortunately, we did not purchase insurance either.

The Nokia 6101 Is A Good Looking Mobile Phone, But
The Nokia 6101 is a good looking mobile phone, but the phone has teething problems, which is not acceptable. My phone has been sent away 5 times for repair. The same problem every time.

I Made A Big Mistake With The Nokia 6101 Mobile Ph
I made a big mistake with the Nokia 6101 mobile phone. Don't get me wrong, the Nokia 6101 is a brilliant phone, but after a month I sold it. Mainly because of the memory. I so wish I had not done that, as this was one of the best phones to play games on I have ever had, and the radio was so clear. The other problem I had with this phone is the aerial on top of the phone, as this is on the phone, and most phones now don't come with this as they are already built in.
===========
The Phone.
===========
The Nokia 6101 is a flip phone that easily fits into the palm of your hand when it's open. That is how small the phone is. Weighing in at a mere 97 g. the size of the phone is 85 x 45 x 24 mm which is small. Believe me this has got to be the smallest phone I have seen.
The Nokia 6101 has 2 screens; one on the outside of the phone that is small. The inside one is big and clear.
The keys are big but not too close together. Great for playing games on. There is a five way navigation key that is easy to use. There is also a button that is on the side of the phone for your camera.
The camera is VGA and takes excellent photo's. You can take self-portrait photo's. This can be done in two ways; with the phone open or closed. The camera is at the front of the phone and easy to use. There is a night mode, but I fail to see the point of this, as there is no flash either. You take a picture in the dark and it's all black, and that will be your picture.
There is also a video player on this phone, and you can download 3GP format videos. You can also take your own. Depending on what quality you have selected, the recording time varies from 15 seconds to 58 seconds. The videos you record come out quite clear. Not as well though as the more update models that you can buy these days. Then you have to remember that this is not a mega-pixel camera; it's only a VGA camera.
There is an FM radio that is built into this phone. This only works when you plug the handsfree into your phone. This works as the aerial for the radio. There is auto select that will find all the stations for you. You can also do this yourself. We had no end of problems getting a radio station on our radio, which is a local radio station. It is however crystal clear on this phone. You can also get all the usual radio stations like radio 1 and 2, and plenty more. You can listen to the radio with the handsfree, or you can have the earphones; it's up to you. You do get the handsfree with this phone.
There is also a voice recorder which you can use to record a sound or a song, but this is not very clear. Not compared to the Nokia 3120 that I had.
It has an integrated handsfree speaker which can be useful, but again, it's not very clear for calls, though it seems to be clearer for radio and listening to MP3 tracks.
The Nokia 6101 has an MP3 function and can take MP3 songs as ring tones. You can listen to these as well by going into the media centre. There is limited memory so you can't have a lot. I think I had one full track downloaded from Kazaa and a couple of mini tracks brought from O2. You can not buy a separate memory card like with other phones. The memory will hold 4.4 Mega bytes, which is not a lot of memory. You also get polyphonic and true tones as well. About 40 are already pre-loaded in to the phone. There is of course the classic Nokia theme tune which I'm sure that everyone has heard now.
The battery life is good. I played a lot of games on mine and had to charge it up every night. However, most of the time It was not dead, and it had more then half of its charge left.
If using this phone for just calls then I'm sure it would last a few days without a charge. If not longer. The calls are easy to make and easy to answer. The signal - I'm not sure about this one, as I was on O2 and had full signal strength. I'm not sure whether it goes by where you live or what network you are on. As I said, I was on O2 and had no problems with it cutting out if I moved about the house whilst making a call.
There is all the usual stuff on this phone that you find on any phone. Just to name a few. Vibrate alert, Text messages and voice, alarm, and clock, that comes with every mobile phone these days. The text messaging function is east to use, and it is really easy to type/send a message as the keys are big.
The menu is about the same as any other Nokia phone. The menu is so simple and easy to use follow that a child could do it.
In the short time I had my phone I had no problems, which was great! And the phone was so simple to use. The games are Java games, and you can buy these from anywhere.
There is also infrared, which you can use to send and receive files, and this is quick and easy to use. Once you have sent or received something then all you will need to do is save the file to our phone.

Where to buy and how much:
===========================
You can pick a Nokia 6101 up now for as little as £89.99, and that was down from £149.99 in Argos. These can be found anywhere, and they range from £89.99 to £189.99 depending on where you buy one from and what network you choose.

My Opinion.
============
Well, like I said up above, I wish I had not got rid of mine, but still we all learn through our own mistakes. This phone however would have been great with so much more memory, or even a memory card would have done.
This Nokia 6101 though is the best phone I have come across to play games on and for sending text messages. The 5-way keys in the middle do not seem to get in the way of anything. The screen though on the outside of the phone is far too small to do anything with. I would not bother with it. You can take self images with this, but again, as the screen is so small you can hardly see anything anyway.
There are two colours to choose from (Black and Grey), and I have not seen this phone in any other colour. If you are looking for a nice phone to text and call someone, then this is the phone for you. If you are into the music and the games, then I would not bother, as there is not a lot of memory.
Would I recommend this? Yes I would! To anybody that wants a half decent phone to call and text with. On the other hand if someone wants a phone for music and other stuff, then no I would not, as they would soon get bored of listening to one song.
Thanks for reading, and I hope this has been helpful. xxx

The Nokia 6101 Is The Worst Mobile Phone I Have Pu
The Nokia 6101 is the worst mobile phone I have purchased! I hate this phone with a passion!
I got my phone in November 2005, and since December 2005 my phone has been a nightmare! The screen goes white when I talk on it, so I can not answer my other line because I can not see who is calling me. My screen fades in and out, and when I dial a number I can not see what numbers I am dialing because the screen is white. When I have a call coming in I can not see who is calling me due to the fact that my outer screen (caller id) is black. The words and numbers on my caller id are upside down, so I have to flip my phone to see who's calling me sometimes. I can not flip my phone open really quickly, because then my screen turns white, so I have to open it slowly so I can look through my phone. When I want to text or dial a number, I have to hold my phone really close together as if I'm going to shut it!
I hate this phone so much! So, I took it upon myself to go to the store where I purchased it. They looked at it and told me it was a manufacturer's defect, and that I should call customer service so I could get a new phone free of charge. I called them and got given the run around. They said it was because I had dropped my phone and my insurance, that I had paid up to a full year for when I got the phone, would not cover the damage. I stated that I have sat and watched my best friend with the same phone drop her phone right in front of me on my schools floor, and nothing is wrong with hers! BLAH, BLAH, BLAH! It goes on and on... but really this it to let everybody know that this phone is a rubbish phone. It is not worth spending your hard earned money on it!
I'm trying to get another phone, but they say I have to upgrade my phone and it will cost me. I just got my phone 4 months ago, so why would I want to do such a thing? I just want to exchange it that's all. Is that so hard T-Mobile? I am going to take my service to another company!
JEEZ. That is REALLY stupid. My 6101 started to not sign into instant messenger that came on the phone.
I spent an hour on hold with 5 differant people on Tmobile and they finally told me it was a defect on the phone. So they said I can exchange it but I have to pay $9.95 for shipping. They should exchange yours, it's 10 times worse than my "problem."
I have had a couple of flip style cell phones before and by far this is the ideal flip phone that you want to get. It is easy to use, light, convenient, fast, and the picture quality is exceptional. It also has a sleek look so feel free to show it off.

The Nokia 6101 is a nice mobile phone! It is really easy to use, and the two screens are colour. It has a good camera too.
The only problem, is the charger it takes is smaller then a regular Nokia charger.
Other then that, it is a brilliant phone!
If you want a great phone with the latest features, buy this one!

So Far, I Like The Nokia 6101 Mobile Phone Way Mor
So far, I like the Nokia 6101 mobile phone way more then the razr v3 mobile phone. I think the razr v3 is really ugly and doesn't work very well. The Nokia 6101 is loaded with features like camera, video, voice recorder, and also a color external display.
This is the best mobile phone I've ever had.
