Disappointed

I'm very disappointed of quality of the phone. I have problems while listening player, it turns off without any reasons. Although I choose it because of nice design and rumors of Nokia's quality!

No Stars The Nokia N96 (i'm Not Alone),

NO STARS

The Nokia N96 (I'm not alone), is totally unreliable and is virtually unusable due its random but frequent habit of restarting itself.

It makes no difference if your using any of phones features or if its just sat witting for a call, it WILL restart itself frequently and is especially annoying if your TRYING to use it.

Iv owned this phone for less than 2 months, but I have already had it returned to Nokia for fixing. And considering sending it back again, but I believe it would not fix the phone (how can you fix something that's broken by default ???). Its now OBVIOUSE to me that Nokia CANNOT FIX them. In fact, I think they should compensate ALL N96 owners because we have been sold a blatantly FAULTY BY DESIGN PRODUCT that was never ready to be sold to us in the 1st place. And now im led to believe there will be no more firmware updates for it, all is lost.

Unfortunately because of how I bought my N96, I cannot return it for a refund, so im stuck with it. And I certainly will not be selling it on to some other 'MUG'.

VERDICT:=EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED -500^10/10, Complete & utter rubbish, would not even recommend to an enemy. I'm now back to using my trusty old SE W810i

Pile Of Rubbish. Poxy Thing Takes A Lifetime To Tu

Pile of rubbish. Poxy thing takes a lifetime to turn on and even then I'm never convinced it has. Cumbersome and not a patch on my previous 6230 phone. Also sems to have a mind of its own and loses settings on a whim. Can't wait for my contract to end so I can then bin this excuse for a phone.

My Fiance & Myself Both Got This Phone At The Same

My fiance & myself both got this phone at the same time on a plan with Optus. Within 2 days mine had crashed and I had to bring it back & get a new one. The phone worked okay for a further 8 weeks, but then again the same thing happened so i had it sent off for repairs. Once again everything was running okay then it crashed again after another 6 weeks! I sent it back for further repairs, and it came back slower than usual and the phone seemed very clunky to open & close, must have been something to do with the repairer. After another few weeks the phone crashed again!! I took it in to optus and requested a new phone only to be told this was not possible they would send it away again. The day i got the phone back it crashed!! I took it in and was offered a new phone. My fiance also had to take his back several times over 6 months and it now sits in a box in a drawer somewhere, not even worth giving to someone else. The handset itself is great to use, looks stylish & has some very good features! if only the software was as good. Too many bugs, too much lag when moving between applications & opening sms & crashes all the time!

Well Having Owned The Nokia N96 For Just Under One

Well having owned the Nokia N96 for just under one year I would describe the phone as a great alternative for someone who does not like touch screen phones.

Lets start with the good points, the camera is superb and is only made better by the latest firmware update. The operating system(although sometimes slow) is very flexible and allows alot of different software and applications to be installed like Google maps and MSN Messenger.

The built is GPS is fantastic, the navigation is very clear and it obtains a GPS lock very quickly, although the downside is you only get 3 months for free and then after that you have to pay.

Now onto the negatives, the main one being the dreadful battery life. Although greatly improved on its predecessor the N96 quickly uses its battery life when talking or using most applications. I usually charge the phone every 2 or 3 days. Another bad point the phone is reliability, the phone often hangs or crashes with the only way to reset it being to take out the battery.

Overall I would recommend the N96 to people looking for a good smart phone. Just make sure you check for the latest firmware updates for the phone as they greatly improve its speed and performance.

I Would Not Recommend The Nokia N96 Fone To Anybod

I would not recommend the Nokia N96 fone to anybody!!!

Personly i hate this fone, it drives me up the wall and i really cant wait to get rid of it. The only good thing with this fone is the camera, when it works, the camera dosent like to work if the fone heats up, or it will give a error message every now and then. Now for the things thats not quite so great about the fone. Firstly i owned the N95 before this, and the fone is basicly the same just with a different look. This fone loves to freeze up, it has now got to the point where it wont allow me to view my images, just freezes then goes back to the menu screen, it is soo slow at doing anything, it turns itself off when ever it feels like it. This fone is genuinely awful to use and live with, its not worth the money you pay!
