I've Had My Samsung E530 Now For About 2-3 Years A
I've had my Samsung E530 now for about 2-3 years and I still love it. I am with Tesco Mobile and have an excellent reception. I've been with Orange and Vodafone in the past and Tesco far excels these. I have had no problems with this phone whatsoever. It still looks as good now as the day I bought it - no scratches or damage. The picture quality is great, the sound is great, all the features are great - overall its great! I've thought about changing to a slider phone - just for a change, but after reading so many bad reviews decided to stay with this phone as it has been so good. I haven't got a bad word to say about this phone at all. I would definitely recommend the Samsung E530!

Started Off As A Great Little Phone, But The Samsu
Started off as a great little phone, but the Samsung E530 soon turned into a nightmare. As I am still under warranty I am having another phone sent to me asap. Lets hope this one goes the distance.

In Short My Samsung E530 Is Just A Really Good Pho
In short my Samsung E530 is just a really good phone. I love it. I did get it second hand and still it is in very good working order. I have the orange and white coloured one and I love the colour and its style. The quality of both the mp3 player and the camera are great. I have had no problem with reception, in fact I get better reception at my home than I did with my Nokia 6111.

My Samsung E530 Cuts Out During Phone Calls, Freez
My Samsung E530 cuts out during phone calls, freezes and turns off when reading texts, and file transfers are impossible via bluetooth. Shall I go on?
Don't buy it.

The Samsung E530 looks nice. All the features are good and although it's nothing out of the ordinary, for the price I paid, I really don't have any complaints. Fantastic phone! It has bluetooth, video, mp3, etc!
Overall, pretty good.

This Review Is Based On The Samsung E530 On An O2
This review is based on the Samsung E530 on an O2 pay and go sim card.
This is the best phone I have ever had (and I've had quite a few). I've had it 9 months now and the battery life still far exceeds most other models of phones, even when they are brand new.
The display on the phone is fantastic, colour phone, with a range of different settings to make the phone unique for you. It's really simple to set up passwords both on the phone, the sim card and even on your messages, phonebook etc so it's up to you how secure the phone is.
Has a good quality camera and can record film, camera has approx 82mb of memory so plenty of space for music, photos and film. It also has a sound recorder, so as well as ring-tones you can record your own or use the Bluetooth function to send music to your phone.
As for SMS memory and phonebook memory, an O2 sim card can hold 10 SMS messages and 100 contacts while the phone can hold 200 SMS messages and 1000 contacts so plenty of space for both. With the phonebook contacts each has space for first and last name, mobile, home and work number, fax number, other number, email address, a picture to recognise the contact by, and other notes per contact. You can also set a ring-tone for a particular contact so you know who's calling without looking at the screen and you can set your contacts into groups.
The phone has a number of applications including games (Bobby Carrot, Airship Racing, Arch Angel, Freekick come with the phone and more are available to download), an O2 music player, lifestyle options (which include fragrance type, biorhythm, height/weight ratio, calorie counter, pink schedule and a shopping list), a voice recorder, world time, alarm, PIM sync, calculator, converter (can be used for currency, weight, length, volume, area or temperature conversions), a timer, and a stopwatch.
The phone also has a calendar which you can set schedules, anniversaries, memos and a to do list, and it allows you to set an alarm for any of these which you need reminding to do.
Finally, the phone is WAP enabled, however I rarely use this feature as it can be quite expensive to use.
Overall, the phone is a fantastic buy, when I first purchased the phone it cost £160, however my sister got one a month ago for £100 on a pay and go contract, so for the price it really is fantastic. Great battery life, plenty of features, nice and small and stylish. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a new phone.

When I Saw The Samsung E530 I Was Desperate To Hav
When I saw the Samsung E530 I was desperate to have it and paid 160 quid for it! Not value for money in my opinion! The camera quality is excellent, the screen is bright and clear but I am just bored of it. I have to say it's the little things that make a phone personal which are not available on this phone. You cannot personalize message tones and the one's that come with the phone are beginning to drive me nuts because texting is what I use a phone for the most.
Also I bought the phone as it was advertised with Vodafone live but have found out that Vodafone hasn't made this phone compatible with their Vodafone live!
System is annoying as I find it really difficult to download games and tones to this phone for some reason. The girly features on this phone are "too girly" in my opinion...calorie counter? Pink schedule? Fragrance type? Who uses them, certainly not me. Also when I go to create a text and I go to send it there's, a huge long number which I have to delete first, which can be really annoying!
Overall it's a nice phone and if you are easy to please I am sure you will like it but I like to personalize my phone and I just can't.

The Samsung E530 Is A Nice Phone, No Major Problem
The Samsung E530 is a nice phone, no major problems, resisted a fair bit of being dropped on the floor. Has useful calculator, calender, etc. It has nearly all the features you would need, good camera quality.
Only down point I find is I live in an area with only enough signal to send a message (one bar), this phone does not pick up that reception, so I have to put my sim in a much older phone that does.

I Loved The Samsung E530 Mobile Phone Until It Dev
I loved the Samsung E530 mobile phone until it developed a fault, and there are NO repair centres in Northern Ireland, and Samsung's customer service is non-existent!
The buttons on the side of the phone are very sensitive, and I have ended up photographing the inside of my jeans pocket quite a lot when the camera activated. The case is soft, and the phone is easily scratched.
