Siemens ME45

Forget smart phones. This phone is the absolute best phone I have ever owned. I got one new in-the-box which hadn't been opened since 2001. The phone has amazing features for its time. If you need a phone that is excellent for simple communications and organizational tasks, then this is a great one. It has t9 predictive text, a wonderful daylight readable monochrome LCD display. As an added bonus, it it dust, shock, temperature, and water resistant. Its nearly indestructible which is why this legendary mobile phone is still used by so many emergency services across Europe. There are many tools available and you can mod the firmware to add an e-mail client, but I think the basic firmware is great. The phone is easy to use, and functions are readily available. It also had a feature which I find unusual which allows you to record phone calls, as well as audio memos. The calendar is simple, but effective with a planner including monthly, weekly, and daily views. As an added bonus to the cool factor, this phone was featured in the Bourne movies as Jason Bourne's mobile phone.

Siemens ME45 is such an amazing phone! I've been using my phone since 2001 and it didn't give me any problem or whatsoever.. It's fallen a number of times, and it just won't break! I live in Portugal and I surf a lot, it often falls in the sand, and it gets wet, and nothing! It's been working wonderfully well since the day I bought it. I love the calendar in it, I still love the design.. Siemens really impressed them with this phone.

I'm not even sure if I want the 65 series... I know it's got camera in built and stuff, but that makes the battery lasts less, which is not a good thing for me, because I always forget to charge it, and this one, the battery seems to last forever!

I have used the Siemens ME45 for over 3 1/2 years. Honestly, it is my dream mobile phone. I'm totally proud of my ME45. It has outstanding performance and great durability toward shock, splashed water, and vibration. Even now I am still suprised at its battery performance. It stills survive until now, still lasts for 3 up to 4 days after being fully charged. I still use the original battery and have yet to replace it. Wow... really hope that Siemens can produce other mobile phone as great as the Siemens ME45 with great value for money and quality.

The ME45 is my first mobile phone. I selected this mobile as I wanted to use it in extreme conditions. The mobile has survived for the past 27 months. I had only to take it once to be repaired. The mobile is still fully functional. Reception is fine. Obviously it has a number of scratches from excessive use, but has survived a number of falls. The main problem is the keyboard buttons. A couple of them have faded out. Battery life is still excellent - 5 to 6 days after all this time with still the original battery.

If the mobile is still available for sale I would recommend it to everyone. Looking forward to trying the M65.

Excellent phone! Your right it's not the cheapest about! But i got a good deal and am so pleased with it! It gets a LOT of use from me, has been dropped from a rig at least two or three times, dropped in a sink one or two times, and many other bumps but has survived a year with me! Which no other phone has! It might be a bit *old* and it doesnt have a camera so what, great phone will be keeping it for a while but unfortuantly I lost the back cover for it! So no longer waterproof! whoops! oh well! Mp3 player option is nice to tho £$£$£$£

As promised, the Siemens ME45 Mobile phone is perhaps the best mobile I have used in past 6 years. It combines all the winning features in a mobile in this price range. Except for an inbuilt camera, it has everything a man can wish for.

The Siemens ME45 is the best choice for a business man, a worker or an active teenager.

It has a lot of memory (345kb for explorer, 500 addressbook entries, 200 phonebook entries).

I can synchronise the mobile via IrDA or the data cable supplied.

It's battery life is outstanding since it can go up to 180 hours of standby including talktime, playing games or uploading bitmaps via IrDA.

You can record a conversation while talking or a joke of a friend if you forget easily.

The mobile is so compact that on first sight it will impress you but you will be even more impressed when you start exploring it.

Believe me, you will be stunded. Throw your old mobile and buy Siemens ME45 because it's a perfect TEN.

It is an excellent phone. For someone who wants reliability and good performance plus many features and strong battery, the ME45 is a nearly to perfect choice. I highly recommend this phone.
