Sony Ericsson W910i...hmmm! I _would_ R
Sony Ericsson w910i...Hmmm!
I _would_ recommend this phone _IF_ SE could sort out the on-off problem reported on other reviews.
I've had this for almost 2 years, and as a voice phone, and text phone has been good; music has been excellent (providing you use headphones/external speakers - hey! It's a phone - not a portable music centre!!) Camera is mediocre (Hey guys! It's not an Olympus camera, remember!!)
Keypad is a bit fiddly, but I then again, my fingers aren't the smallest; my wife finds it fine. I've found amongst many family and friends that the thinner SE phones are prone to the on-off problem. My own pet theory (IMHO) is that the thinner phones (take the thickness of the main body of the phone where the circuit board is - not the screen module) is that being thin it has less mechanical resistance to the flexes and bends it receives in your pocket/handbag, resulting in microfractures of the circuitboard/powerlines, causing the problems reported ie on-off/lost calls/lost texts/memory drop outs. Updated firmware may make the phone less sensitive to this, but ultimately it's a hardware problem.
It's a pity, as the phone overall has excellent music capabilities - much better than my earlier SE phones (w810i, w580i), but the on-off lack of reliability issues massively reduce it's ratings.
Hope this helps!

I Had The W910i For Over A Year, It Was Quite A Go
I had the w910i for over a year, it was quite a good phone until it started turning itself off all the time and wouldn't send texts and eventually didnt let me read some texts. Despite this I did like the phone for its features so decided to upgrade to the w995 which is similar but so much better, came with 8gb memory card, has 8.1 megapixel camera with flash, big screen, very stylish, really good sound quality and loud speakers. No turning itself off so I would say invest in this not the w910i

Sony Ericsson W910i - Dont Buy This Phone. I
Sony Ericsson W910i - DONT BUY THIS PHONE.
It is a waste of time and money, a load of rubbish.
It crashes, shuts down by it self and freezes, its slow and a watse of my money. I can b in a middle of a call and it will hsut down or freeze. Sony Ericsson phones are rubbish, i have had 2 sony ericsson phone in a space of 2 years and they both broke within 2 months. Today the bottom half snapped off taking off the speaker nd aerial so it no longer is unusable! Great! I thoguht it would be greta with all its features but it is a massive let down. I am phoneless now and so angry. Sony Ericssosnshould have stopped selling the phone as soon as they noticed things were going wrong.

Its Really Good Until, It Turns Off Randomly Due T
Its really good until, it turns off randomly due to loose wiring. I know several people who have had this problem, also I would watch out for the signal. It always seems to be in a one bar signal area when everyone else has full bars. These just me thoughts. I would not buy this phone.

Everybody That Is Concerned With The Freezing And
Everybody that is concerned with the freezing and the phone turning itself of.
My sony was doing this for a while, it turns out I was putting incompatible an corrupt themes and games on the phone.
Take all the games downloaded from the internet of, delete all your third party themes, and use the default one and I guarantee it will stop freezing.
It might not work for other people out there, but it certainly has worked for me.

Sony Ericsson W910i. I Cont Think This
Sony Ericsson W910i.
I cont think this phone is as bad as everybody had been saying.
I know these Sony Ericsson phones have a undesriable tendency to turn themselves of, but then again, most of sony ericssons phones do as well.
I love the movement sensors on it, its big screen, the camera is pretty good, not the best, but pretty good, I have to say, its value for money.
I got a usb mini card reader, a gig of external memory and a good phone for 129 euro, its a good phone, regardless of other peoples opinions, I love the phone.
I also received 20 euro call credit after registering, which is a plus in my books. I always bought sony Ericsson phones after coming out of my Nokia trend, I have had problems with them, slight as they maybe, but problems are common with most phones that you buy, if you've had as many varieties of phones like me, ranging from Nokia to Samsung, you'll learn to accept that many phones have faults.
I love this wee phone, its exceptionally brillaint, plus I look cool when I answer it, cause its flip up. ;) Haha. 4 out of five stars, a star being deducted because the motion sensors only move to the right, not upside down, or to the right, and the internet can be quite slow when it wants to be, the networks fault, not the phone.
TOTALLY AGREE. Donno why everyone's complaining, mine's got no problem. Used to use nokia too: sound quality cant be compared to dat of SE, ever.
