Not Sure Why The Guy Who Wrote The Previous Review

Not sure why the guy who wrote the previous review had problems with the smell. I had none, and I have enjoyed several films now with the Sanyo PLV-Z1 projector.

Resolution is great for the type of projector. Not excellent, but absolutely good for seeing a film at home. At least much better than buying a 2 to 3 thousand Dollar TV, and providing an image that could be as big as twice the biggest TV, or even more.

Noise is a bad point; but, with an accurate home theater system with the perfect sound level, you forget about the noise.

The problem is that my wife hates loud sound in home theaters and when we used to go to the movies, so I have to watch movies at home with a very low volume level. That makes this devices noise fairly noticeable, yet acceptable.

All in all, if you don't have a wife that hates a good level of volume, I would recommend the Sanyo PLV-Z1 projector.

I Bought The Sanyo Plv-z1 Online After Researching

I bought the Sanyo plv-z1 online after researching via Projector People and it arrived early. Once plugged in using 2 12' component video cables I was very pleased with the picture. The colors and vivid and blacks are deep. I projected from 12' onto a screen made from a $13 blackout fabric(used in hotel blinds). My wife and I love it and it's affordable! I have a movie theater at home now.
