It Appears Rather Slow, But With No Experience Of
It appears rather slow, but with no experience of other scanners I cant say how it compares. I have had one of these scanners in daily use for over ten years! The USB interface sometimes gets lost, typical of Windows, nut unplugging it and plugging it back in fixes the problem. Doesn't quite scan to the extreme margins, which is a down side. I should like to be able to compare scanning speeds with other products.

Generally it works well, giving reasonable results, but it is slow and noisy. The slide scanner is fiddley to use.
I would not recommend it for the price.

We Bought A Epson Perfection 1260 Scanner About A
We bought a Epson Perfection 1260 Scanner about a year agao. We did not use it a lot but it stop working in less than 5 month. The hardware is really not relayable.

My Old Hp 3300c Scanner (only A Year Old) Couldn't
My old HP 3300C scanner (only a year old) couldn't cope with XP and hence the change to this Epson Perfection 1260. But this scanner beats the pants off the HP for sheer speed with no apparent loss of quality.
I do not understand why all of the glowing comments, and two 10/10 scores, are then followed by an overall mere 5/10.
