For Slides I Had Been Using A Very Expensive Nikon
For slides I had been using a very expensive Nikon Coolscan 5000ED but wanted to be able to scan varying sized slides and glass plates as well as 35mm slides. I did a fair bit of research and this piece of equipment was recommended to me. It has been trouble free and now I even scan my 35mm slides on it and am planning to sell my more expensive Nikon on. My only criticism is the quality of the varying holders and panels. The 35mm slide holder is rather flimsy. I can see the clips that hold the slides in place snapping unless I am extremely careful. Having said that is gets through 12 slides in 15 minutes at top resolution with Digital ICE. My nikon takes about 50 minutes to do the same amount. The simpleset way of putting it is this, if it broke I would buy another one it is so useful.
