Philips TRESemme HP4642

I love the Philips TRESemme, its cheap, & it works, the style holds for me & it has specific curling devices...

Bought Philips TRESemme HP4642 on account of the price - big mistake. They just didn't straighten my hair very well, and 20 minutes later it's starting to curl up again. Bought these as a replacement for my old (broken) Remington straighteners, which I loved. I'll stick with the Remingtons in future.

I received these straightners of a friend cause she got new ones, and i was delighted, BUT after a while i was dissapointed because i have curly hair, and i straightened my hair and after like half an hour my hair would curl again. These straightners dont hold the style, and they made my hair extrememly bad condition.

This product had initially appealed to me because it was offering such a variety of options and a new one was on offer at ebay at just £10 (including p&p). But after I bought it, I have been pretty disappointed with it. The tongs don't heat up much so the styling consumes quite a lot of time and worse does not stay. The tongs are better than the straightener though. The instruction leaflet was a total waste. I had to pick up styling how-to from youtube. Now I am on the lookout for a GHD or babyliss.

It did not straighten my hair, and if i did manage to straighten it properly, after about 20 minutes it will be all wavey again, not too impressed with them. Also the wheel which is used to change the temperature of the straighteners has broken so I am not sure what heat level they are on. Additionally I found that when I did straighten my hair, it damaged it and made my hair very dry and in a bad condition. My hair sometimes got pulled by the straghtners, causing more damage.

I hate it, if i could have returned it i would have, i just cant get on with these straightners. They dont go anywhere near hot enough so they dont get my hair straight

These must be the best straighteners I have found. They make good contact with your hair, unlike most others I have tried. My hair is left very smooth and extremely soft. The swivel cord is excellent and it is also 3m long. These let you know when they are at your chosen temperature so there is no guess work on when they are ready (and no burnt fingers!! ). All in all I can't say enough good words about this product, they are fantastic brilliant straighteners and at about 30 excellent value too.

I have really thick but not afro hair, so I was really pleased when I found the Philips TRESemme HP4642 hair straighteners. I spent about £30 on them, so I was quite chuffed with the price as well.

They are easy to store, and perfect to go on holiday with.
