Good Camera For Beginners
I felt I have outgrown the point and shoot cameras and wanted to upgrade to a DSLR to boost my photography skills. Before I purchased my Nikon D3000 I did some research as I knew little about digital SLR cameras and comparing it to other popular models it looked the best choice in terms of price and features. I got it from Amazon for about £300. At the beginning it was very difficult to get the images right and there was a time when I regretted I have bought a digital SLR, but as I practiced more and played around with the different modes and features, I think I am now making my way through to understanding how to work with it. If you are a first time DSLR user I would recommend going through the guide mode. It is a steb by step guide through the different shooting options. You can tweak the aperture and speed by a thumb dial button. For now I am very happy with the outdoor pictures, I feel quite confident I understand the different modes to help me achieve the result I want. I still can't work out the best options for taking good quaility indoor images. I would definately recommend this camera, but would advise you to read carefully the manual and go through the guide mode before you start shooting. Also read some expert reviews for even better advice on how to work with the camera and its different modes.
