Although I Have A Few Complaints About This Dvd Re

Although I have a few complaints about this DVD Recorder/Player I would recommend it to others about to purchase this model.

I found it easier to programe the channels manually assuming of course you already know the number of the channels for the area where you reside. You have four options to choose from when you select the aerial source, I chose the one which I have but this did not work when I set the recorder/player up.

If you are some form of a computer geek this might be easy for you but for the average user as I am it took me a whole day to fathom out how to set the machine up so that I could use it.

It does not support Video Plus but it has a queer thing named "Guide Plus" which does more or less the same thing.

The recorder/player does not have a built in digital receiver but relies on a very odd "G Link" piece of wire with a sensor on the end which you stick on top of your digi box, I would have thought the Sony technicians could have devised some connection better than this.

One other point, the manual does not tell you that you need to connect a Scart Lead from the recorder to the TV to receive the output from the recorder/player.

I bought this machine from Dabs.com for £184
