We Have A Technika Dvdr2005 Dvd Player And It Is O

We have a Technika DVDR2005 DVD player and it is only playing the backround audio i.e. music etc but not the full sound with voices. We've tried all of the audio setting but it won't work! It's not the TV either because the sound on this is working perfectly.

I Got The Technika Dvdr 2005 From Tesco For &pound

I got the Technika DVDR 2005 from Tesco for £68.00. If you are looking for a DVD recorder, or even just a DVD player, then this is the the one to buy.

This is a excellent DVD recorder/player that puts many other more expensive players to shame.

It can record from scart, S-Video, internal analogue tuner, composite video through phono lead and possibly DV (I don't have a DV device so I can't test it).

It will play through scart, optical, S-Video and composite video.

It has multiple analogue and digital audio output including 5*5.1 decoded output sockets.

Along with the DVD/DVD-RW record and play, it will also play SVCD, jpg and MP3.

It does a very good job of displaying jpg photo's. It can play MP3's from DVD, CDR and the front USB port.

It will quite happily accept and play a DVD full of MP3's. You can plug in a USB memory stick in the front port and play MP3's directly from the memory stick.

Larger FAT32 drives will not work on the USB port. You can also use a port expander on the USB port. I tried my powered four port expander, and it worked fine with two devices, the only problem you get is if you are playing from one device and plug in or unplug another; then it stops playing. The Scart and TV tuner pass through when the device is in standby, so it can be put in line with other devices.

Don't be fooled by the up to six hours record time. You only get this if you switch to the worst video quality, which is too poor to watch. At DVD quality you will get just over two hours recording on a DVD, and at the best quality only one hour.

Sadly, the DVD drive on my Technika DVDR 2005 DVD recorder failed today, after 8 months of use. The tray slides in or out with a juddery movement, and it won't read any disks.

Unfortunately, Tesco no longer sell this model.

Fat32 would need additional device driver code and probably more memory as well. Making the unit more expensive.

'Larger FAT32 drives will not work on the USB port' WHY? If only - would be good.
