Llangollen Railway

I was quite looking forward to traveling on this railway but I was very disappointed. It is too expensive and the carriages were absolutely filthy.

I absolutely love this railway, it is my favourite heritage railway, I especially love the Thomas days they do. The staff on the railway are really friendly and always help you if have have questions, I never have a bad time when I visit this fine railway! They have a great fleet of locomotives, I always love listening to the sound of the steam loco working hard and I love the smell of the steam, being a rail enthusiast my self I have been to plenty of railways and this one beats them all! I've become a member of the railway and that means I can go on a normal running day and see the rest of the locomotive fleet in action!

Having been a person who went on the train from Llangollen to Carrog Numerous times....after today's experience I wouldn't recommend it to anyone....My child and I purchased a return trip ticket to Corwen as this part of the line is now complete...when the train got to Corwen we got off to have a look at the station as others were....after about 5 minutes the train pulled out of the station without us...No one informed us how long the trained stopped for or that it was basically just a drop off....You see when the train only went as far as Carrog it would stop for sometime for people to take pictures and have a tea or coffee....not so at Corwen....It was also the last train of the day we were informed so my child and I were left stranded.....we had some cash so were able to purchase "at an extra cost of course!" A bus ticket back.....however we are not a big group so I doubt our business will be missed....I wouldn't recommend this to anyone and this train line caters to alot of foreign speaking tourists aswell and people with very young children!

Very dissapointing not one single Christmas carol to be heard, as for LAP LAND as advertised this was ??? Santa and one elf sat in a sleigh were we took our own photos with our mobile phones, no member of staff was jolly very rushed would not recommend this event to anyone, cost of this was £90 feel ripped off. On journey back staff asked three times any rubbish not what you would expect as the rubbished could have been collected when people were off the train at so called LAP LAND will not be visiting Llangollen Railway again. The discription of the santa train event did not live up to expections.

Llangollen Railway is ideal for kids, my son went to see Thomas with Grandma and Grandad,we since used for his birthday last year with all his little freinds and he wants to go again this year for his birthday, mums and dads enjoyed it too and it wasnt expensive!

Its a fantastic family day out worth the money.
