Great Fun For The Family - Not Cheap Though!

Canada's Wonderland is always worth a visit if you're coming to Toronto. Fun place for people of all ages, and if you check ahead of time, sometimes they have great show's as well. However, if you're looking for a cheap outing, this is definitely not the place to go. As a family, or even on your own, it's quite expensive! And if you do go, you must try the funnel cake! Enjoy!

I Got To The Water Park & No Lockers You Could

I got to the water park & no lockers you could rent. This was the the main reason I went to Canada Wonderland. I was told come early next time. You think if you ran out of lockers you make some more. As the cost of renting a locker would pay in one month as you pay $7.00 per day. Also I find to many long line ups in the water park. I waited over hour to go on one water. It a holdway weekend I found like at the black hole only using one water slide when there are two water slides. I think Canada Wonderland is saving money when you pay so much. It maybe only cost Canad Wonderland maybe a $300.00 to hire maybe two people on Holiday to keep us happy. I notice more lineups this years in the water park. You think Canada Wonderland would add a new water slide to keep people happy. I lined up for a locker in water Park for one hour & 10 minutes. Then I was told no more lockers. You come from London do two rides the go to the water park to find no lockers. That to me is a bad start Then after line up at all water slides. One case I spent over hour to go down a water slide.

I just want to point out two things with this review. They have lockers at the water park, and at the front of the entrance to the main park.

And also, if you go to Wonderland on a holiday weekend, it's going to be crazy busy. It's a holiday. Everyone is there at the water park. Expect long lines. I've waited about two hours in line for a regular ride on a non-holiday weekend. It's a busy park.

Wonderland Is To The North Of Toronto, And It Is E

Wonderland is to the north of Toronto, and it is easily reached via the major highways in the area (check the website for details). Access and parking are both excellent, and entry into the park is made simple by helpful staff. As a family of five we expected the worse, but the reality was that an all day pass was just £62 including tax, and for our age group (sub 12 year olds) it was fully inclusive.

Once inside the park you are welcomed to the central hub of the park by a spectacular waterfall (think Niagara Falls) with shopping and restaurants around the outside. While the map isn't brilliant, it's pretty obvious that Paramount have really thought about the layout of the park, and they have not only put the kiddy area closer to the entrance, but they have linked areas of similar age groups in series.

Having younger children we made a sprint over to the Nickelodeon section and enjoyed a whole range of exciting rides aimed at the under 10 age range. The number and range of rides was very surprising, and there were at least ten separate rides to bring a scream to our three little so-and-so's.

Food at the park exceeded expectations also, with a fantastic Chinese (Teriyaki Experience) and lots of places to get fries, Icee's (crushed ice drinks), Mr Sub (think Subway) and so on. It wasn't even that expensive; certainly no more expensive than Disney, and the quality really was there.

Note: If you plan to take your own food into the park (and they are OK with that) you can not take canned goods. Bottles are fine, but cans are not, and they will be confiscated on the way in. It's a security measure for your protection, but I can see it being an issue.

Staff, it has to be said were polite and helpful. The only down point of Wonderland was that the toilets on our visit were not up to the same standard as the rest of the park. But all things being relative, this didn't ruin the day for us in any way.

Basically, I have both thumbs up for Wonderland, and so do the rest of our family. We truly enjoyed the day we spent there, despite the high temperatures and humidity. One tip I can suggest is that purchasing an annual pass is only slightly more expensive than a single day ticket. So if you plan to visit the park at least twice, get an annual pass and save yourself a fortune!

This is a very good review.

However I just wanted to add a bit to it because since 2006, they have made a few changes. They no longer allow outside food to be brought in. Sometimes you can sneak some bottled water in if you hid it well in your bag and go through a gate where the guard doesn't search through your bag, just peeks in. I've seen them take food and drinks even and toss them in the trash. It sucks.
