Joe Peters, Cry Silent Tears

Just got done reading Cry Silent Tears. It was the most gut wrenching story I have read so far! My heart goes out to Joe Peters! Nobody should ever have to go through what he did! Why God let this happen to him is beyond me. I hope his mother, along with the others are or will pay for their actions Joe has had to deal with his whole life. God Bless you Joe and keep helping others by talking.

I have been actually sick to my stomach as I read this book. It was so moving that I feel the need to report how I felt even though I have never done any postings on the internet. I work in a high school in the special education setting. Sometimes as people that are more fortunate, we take life so much for granted and I have done a few double takes in my job, but this is far more jaw dropping than anything I have ever read or heard in my life. It almost makes me speechless, just so very hard to talk about. Joe, you are one terrific man to endure all you have been through. I was waiting many times to hear that "she" had killed one of you, again, holding my breath at that thought. All I can say is God Bless You!!

im still reading cry silent tears at the moment and i would say out of all the books i have read this has to be the best, and being based on a true story well its wow, there is so much about it, it is very sad and it makes me think of how lucky i am, i dont like to think that these things actually happen in life, but people reading this book well i hope a lot of people realise the same that i did. weldone joe, hope your living a better life, no one deserves anything what you went through.

Cry myself to sleep was the first book ever to move me to tears.This is the story of a remarkable man,who overcome a horrific childhood.To be able to come through it all and to be the person you are today.All i can say is Joe you are amazing and a inspiration to us all.

If you ever read these reviews i just want to say that i was truely truely touch by your book and im not a kind of person that says that freely. i thankyou for being so brave and sharing your story, although reading ur story has left me utterly bewildered and sad i am so happy that you have gone on to be a true man. i am curiouse as to what happend to ur brothers and ur mum not that i care about them hope that they got some bad karmer in the end.

An incredible book that I couldn't put down. Such a tragic and horrible childhood, what were the authorities doing, not much. Kids should be believed and I'm sure this will be a wake up call to those types of authorities that deal with this abuse.

What a message this book sends, powerful and compelling.....

It was a sad book with a harsh moral but it is a good lesson to teach us of how we are lucky and there are people that hurt small people like poor Joe. :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

Cry Myself To Sleep was the first book that I read of Joe Peters's, I then got his first book Cry Silent Tears, I can't express just how unbelievable his life story is, words cannot explain how remarkable the man is and his books are going to be massive world wide, I was blown away and totally hooked, very gripping stuff he went through, both books i could not put down, the best memoirs I have read ever, and I read all of them. well done joe. keep up your hard work mate.

Joe Peters, Cry Silent Tears - gave insight to another world that one doesnt get to see

As a writer myself I rarely read anymore because of all the research I have to do but when I picked up Joe Peter's 'Cry Myself To Sleep'I felt compelled to read it front to back. This is a story of utter inspiration, Joe has clearly been to hell and back but finds the strength as an adult to turn the dreadful things that happened to him into a way to help others. I never post reviews or contact other authors but I felt compelled to do so with Joe and found that he is the most lovely and genuine person. For those of you that haven't read his work you should do - it is not an easy read but then again child abuse isn't an easy subject to address. Well done Joe!
