In Darkness Nick Lake

In Darkness, by Nick Lake, shortlisted for the Carnegie 2013 shortlist is, in my view, a gripping book which is set in Haiti, with two stories running simultaneously and also linked.

'Shorty' is a victim of the Haitian Earthquake and is 'in the darkness' and 'Toussaint' is leading the Haitian revolution.

I'd highly recommend this book.
