Lesley Pearse's Remember Me Is An Absoutely Beauti
Lesley Pearse's Remember Me is an absoutely beautifully written book about a women, that we should all strive to be as strong as. An amazing factual based tale that tore through all the emotions a human can have. My favourite book, and probably forever will be.

I loved this book! I have read it five times, and it is amazing. It had me in tears all the way through, but I have to say, it was worth it! I cry at the same points each time I read Remember Me by Lesley Pearce, and I can't put the thing down once I start. Amazing!

Lesley Pearse's Remember Me Is Not A Fantastic Boo
Lesley Pearse's Remember Me is not a fantastic book. Although it is based on a fascinating true story of one of the first people shipped to the convict colonies in Australia, it is told in a very uneven fashion. The character's motivations are constantly changing and the apparently omniscient author can't make up her mind what her characters feel about any given situation. It's not that they don't know themselves, but that they definitely feel good about something, and then two pages later, they definitely feel bad about it. The story is episodic and the obvious points of climax are actually rather muted in the book. The descriptions are pedestrian and it is hard to feel much sympathy for Mary, who isn't the nicest of characters. Hers is an impressive story of someone overcoming great hardship, but it simply doesn't work as a romance. I wouldn't recommend it.

I Could Not Put Down, Lesley Pearse's Remember Me.
I could not put down, Lesley Pearse's Remember Me. Lesley Pearse vividly brought to life the horror that convicts, transported to NSW, went through. What happened beyond their arrival is even more breathtaking in it's hardship and squalor, yet a totally compelling read. It was hard to take in that this was not a wholly fictitious story, but one based on fact. Pearse's characterisation of Mary is empathetic and strong. It was harrowing to read yet absolutely riveting. I would recommend this to anyone who has been searching for an all-absorbing read.

I have loved reading "Remember Me" by Lesley Pearse. Once I started reading it I could not put it down and read it in a few days. What a wonderfull story, I laughed and cryed at what I read of mary, but my sadness was in not knowing what became of her.

Q&A
I once watched a movie which seemed to be based on this wonderful book but cannot remember the name of it. Is there anyone who could tell me the name of this particular movie?
