I Have Four Wii Fitness Programmes And This One Is
I have four Wii fitness programmes and this one is easily the best. It is the only one of the four that I find properly challenging. Half an hour on here and I'm sweating and feel like I've really worked out. First time I went on it I was aching all over for a week!
I would warn though that this is a boxing programme with options to do none boxing exercises. I'm no fan of boxing and I've never done any. However, I do find the boxing workouts extremely enjoyable. The 15 minute (that varies quite a lot) workouts go very quickly because you're kept busy all the time. It works in the same way that something like Guitar Hero works. Different punches, ducks, weaves etc travel up a ladder on the screen, to music, and you do them when they hit a point on the screen. There is a trainer there too that tells you what to do. This works extremely well and their voice can be made louder or quieter, as can the music, separately.
The best bit though about the design of this game is that you are given the option to use two remotes instead of one and the nun-chuck. This makes it so much better because there is no annoying wire slapping you in the face or getting tangled, as there is in other fitness programmes.
As you progress through the workouts they get harder and more challenging. To keep you even more interested you are awarded points for your progress, which you can spend on new clothes, gloves, etc. I am desperately saving up 50,000 for a teddy bear outfit : )
There are beginner, advanced and expert level. There is also a ? mystery level, which is unlockable (I can't wait, but I'm nowhere near yet).
Oh yes, it does use the balance board too if you have one but thankfully it gives you the option not to use it. I'm very glad about this because I have found with other programmes that if you use the balance board it tries to make you do squats all the time, because the balance board is good at those.
This is an excellent and highly recommended workout programme.
