This Game Kicks Total Butt! I'm Being Seriou
This game kicks total butt!
I'm being serious. Sure, I've read in other places that it's predictable, and I had to see for myself. I was dissapointed in the people who told me that. This game, despite the fact that it has some pretty corny dialouge in places, has more plot twists than a roller coaster has turns. There are other things about it, too. The characters, for one thing, are some of the most unique in all JRPGdom. If you want stereotypical heroes look elsewhere, you won't find those here.
The graphics could be better, they don't really fit the style of a game which such dark themes, but I'm willing to forgive them becasue the game that Namco made was AWESOME!
It has a decent difficulty curve, too, and a grade shop once you beat the game that allows you to buy powere ups and what not. There's also a gazillion hours of gameplay if you're really thurough becasue I will tell you now, there in no way you are getting everything packed into this two disk game on your first playthrough.
Overall, I would reccomend it to teen and up. It has some launguage that may not be appropriate for younger players. It also has some darker themes, like rascisim and murder, but it's nothing I couldn't handle, and I'm squeamish.
Buy it if you want a good game that's alot like a book as far as plot goes, and has morals to go with it!

I Love The Tales Of Symphonia Rpg Battling System.
I love the Tales of Symphonia RPG battling system. It's real time battling! It's the ultimate RPG game!
Some of the scenes looked a bit unpolished, but it is my favourite game! Tales of Symphonia is just so great!
Tales of Symphonia' is the must-play of the century! Tales of Symphonia is an "RPG" (role playing game), so it's for all those RPG fans out there. The game begins in Iselia, where the main character Lloyd Irving is introduced and three other important characters are introduced. They are: Colette Brunel, Raine Sage and Genis Sage. Lloyd, Colette and Genis are students, whilst Raine is a teacher. Colette Brunel is the chosen of Sylverant (Sylverant is the world). The chosen one, after the day prophecy, must travel all over Sylvarant and overcome the trials that await him or her. Once these trials are completed, then the chosen must go to the tower of Salvation in order to regenerate the world. Overcoming the trials is not easy, half elves called 'Desians' try to stop world regeneration by killing the chosen one.
On the day of the prophecy, a bright light flashed in Iselia, Raine decided to go to the chapel (where the chosen would receive the oracle) and investigate. Raine told the class to stay and research, but Lloyd, Genis and Colette decided to sneak out and go to the chapel too. When they arrived at the chapel, they were attacked by Desians, even though Iselia had a peace treaty with the Desians! Luckily, Kratos Aurion, a mercenary, randomly saved them right at the point were they were about to be killed. Colette's mum Phaidra decided to hire Kratos to help them in regenerating the world. After going into the chapel and receiving the oracle, they set out to regenerate the world.
The battle system in Tales of Symphonia is great. It's real-time battling, and you can even get your friends to help you fight! Different characters can do different things. Lloyd defeats his enemies using two swords. Genis can cast deadly magic on opponents. Raine is a healer, so she can heal people. Kratos is a mix between the three of them. He can fight with his sword, cast magic or heal. Colette uses her angel abilities against the opponent. You can collect better armour and better weapons for your characters as you play through the game, meaning that a good party is a well-equipped party.
Out of battle, you walk around in a 3-D view, whether you're in a town or in a dungeon. On the world map you travel from one location to another whilst exploring different locations.
Overall, Tales of Symphonia is a great game! It is a lot of fun battling monsters, collecting weapons and armour, and just generally walking around and exploring. I find it especially fun when my friends play with me. I'd recommend Tales of Symphonia to anyone, especially an RPG fan! I rate Tales of Symphonia 5 stars out of five!
Umm...they made summoning bad in Tales of Symphonia. Sheena has to be in Over limits, which is rare. It costs 100 TP to summon, and summoning isn't even that powerful anyway! In games Like Final Fantasy four, summoning was definitely worth it. It didn't take up too much MP, it was powerful and you could summon at any time.
I agree. Tales of Symphonia has a great battle system and storyline, with loads of side quests. I'm not too keen on the summons though, like the mole and Maxwell etc. Summons are much cooler in the Final Fantasy series.
