Robotic Staff.
I recently stayed here as a night stay because of my job; in which i travel the length and breadth of the U.K. Let me state firstly that i have no points of complaint about the setting. It is a very nice setting, pleasant on the eye and with ample parking. A few slight moans about the room. Firstly, dirty marks on the soap bottles, left by the previous tenant which i had to clean off before use. Secondly, a toilet that was not properly secured to the floor and simply would not flush without numerous applications of the handle. The bedroom itself was nice.Comfortable and well equipped. So, the main reason for my very poor rating. Well, that is simply because of the attitude of the reception staff. There were three of them when i arrived and it was very clear that none of them wanted to deal with me. Robotic, unfriendly and disinterested. Not what you are looking for after a thirteen-hour drive. On leaving the following morning the one attendant was hardly any better. A very unenthusiastic thank you ; that seemed to be the hardest thing that person had to do all year. So, in summery, i told the office not to book me in here again when i am next in this area.

Shiney Headed Door Man Thinks Hes God Almighty!
I went to Bredbury hall last night with 17 friends and was refused entry because of a tattoo on my right shoulder. I did my best to accommodate the shiney headed dim wit doorman and covered my tattoo but was told this wasn't good enough dispite having spoken to two other members of staff who had said it was fine. When i explained this to him i was rather rudely told well "they are "just staff" and im the doorman its at my discrestion and i say no". Would never even consider going here again even with my tattoo covered. Bredbury halls website has no mention of tattoos being a problem and i think the way the doorman spoke to me was appalling.

This Hotel Should Come With A Health Warning. The
This hotel should come with a health warning. The staff are unfriendly and unhelpful and mostly security guards. We bought a bottle of Champagne after travelling from London to surprise our friend on her birthday, and just as I got to her room a very rude doorman snatched the bottle off me and told me I was not allowed to bring it onto the premises. I was so upset I was being treated like a criminal and my friend was also very embarassed. The room we had booked, an 'executive suite' was awful. The double bed wasn't much bigger than a single and was so lumpy and covered in a plastic sheet and the pillows may as well have been stuffed with cotton wool. Worse still the kettle in my room was the smallest kettle I'd ever seen in my life and did not hold enough water to fill the teapot, When I asked if I could order 2 coffees to the room I was brought 2 sachets of nescafe and 4 mini cartons of milk.
However final nail in the coffin came in the evening after spending an hour in the nightclub accessed through a dingy damp cave like corridor, we went back to our room for some peace away from the rowdy groups of stag parties, only to have them knocking on our door throughout the night. The whole hotel became a late night brothel with drunken people and security,( who were all drinking on duty) wandering round the corridors and we could clearly hear everything through the thin walls. A friend from my group also had a can of redbull thrown at her head from a window. Luckily she was wearing a hat. The parties went on all night long and I had no sleep in my lumpy bed. With thunder and lightning raging outside this place reminded me of a mix between The Shining and One Flew over the Cuckoos Nest, and one friend said it reminded her of From Dusk Till Dawn. Stay here at you own risk, I will never stay again.

We Had Our Wedding At Bredbury Hall In November 20
We had our wedding at Bredbury Hall in November 2009. When we were looking round for suitable places, we thought Bredbury had it all. A big room, reasonably priced, and accommodation on site. The staff there were very very helpful and seemed to go the extra mile for us in the 'decsion' stage. However once we paid our deposit this all changed. Our 'wedding planner' was awkward with the preparations. She was rude in her manner and made us feel like our wedding was insignificant. I made a complaint about her on more than one occassion, and was reassured that nobody has ever complained about this person before. I find this very hard to believe.
My brother also called the hotel to try to organise a nice surprise for myself and my husband. He was greeted with an abrupt and rude manner from this wedding planner.
Overall I would think very carefuly about booking a wedding at Bredbury Hall. Having a stag night in the hotel at the same time, didn't help matters. And on out wedding day, we didn't see any of the wedding planning team. They had no interest in making this a lovely time for us.
All the above created stress and arguments prior to the most important day of our lives and this is unforgivable.
Remember, they are lovely until you hand over that cheque. After that the excellent customer service is no more.

Very Comfortable Accommodation And Very Pretty Dec
Very comfortable accommodation and very pretty decor in the restaurant which has live pianist etc. Very late night. Everything under one roof. You don't have to bother with jackets cos it's cold or mess about waiting for taxis. There are a number of bars and a nightclub on site.
Is an overall nice place, but beware of Saturday nights unless you're desperate and only looking to pull. You won't meet a serious partner in there. My impression is that assumptions are made about you (bimbo) just by being there.
