I've Been To Chilli Jacks In Warrington 4 Or 5 Tim

I've been to Chilli Jacks in Warrington 4 or 5 times now, either just with my husband or with groups of friends and have found the service consistently good. The food is what you would expect from a tex mex and good value. I have always found the staff to be cheerful and friendly and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them.

It's worth going just to try out the hand drier in the toilet!

Visited Chilli Jacks For Our Works Christmas Party

Visited Chilli Jacks for our works Christmas party on Friday 14/12/2007.

We had pre-booked the meal weeks in advance and expected to enjoy myself, unfortunately Chilli Jacks ruined our night as I felt their service was poor and the the restaurant were not interested in dealing with the following complaints:

In my experience...

1. Meals were not served at the same time as other persons in our party.

2. Meals were cold and were not served with either potatoes or fries as described on the menu, we had to constantly ask the serving staff for the potatoes/fries and even then they were not supplied.

3. Meals were poor and were tasteless, a supermarket Mexican meal would have been better.

4I found some of the staff rude.

5. Desserts arrived late and were not what we requested.

6. One of our party couldn't have cream served on top of the ice cream, we informed the waiter who scraped it off and passed it back to our colleague.

The Best Mexican I Have Eaten In The Uk For A Very

The best Mexican I have eaten in the UK for a very long time. Staff very nice and they do not rush you. Fab cocktails and desserts. Even the cheap lunch menu is good. Meals are very filling. We ate starters, mains with quite a lot of wine and beer and the total bill was just under 35 pounds.

I Thought That The Service Was Extremely Good, And

I thought that the service was extremely good, and the food was to die for. My favourite thing about Chilli Jacks in Warrington is that one of the chefs was excellent at making the food, and he was also very nice.

This Is The First Time I'm Writing A Review, But I

This is the first time I'm writing a review, but I would just like to add one for this restaurant.

I went to Chilli Jacks in Warrington about one or two months after it had opened, and we were in a group of 5 people, including a baby. We ordered the starter platter and a salad to start. For mains, I ordered the stuffed peppers. When the starter platter arrived, it included the very simple easy-to-cook-in-an-oven onion rings, cheese bites and various other bits and pieces. I couldn't help but feel disappointed, as I was hoping for a more authentic Mexican taste, not something I can just buy in any supermarket. The side salad consisted of leaves, tomatoes and some onions, and lots of sand. Yes, you read right, I mean sand...the little grains that make up beaches. I thought...oh OK, so the starters may not be brilliant or amazing, I'll wait for the main course. So my main meal arrived and was made up of two small yellow and green peppers, halved. Two were stuffed with meat and two with rice. Honestly now, the peppers looked like they were grilled until they were charred and then stuffed with whatever meat mixture it was, and then sprinkled with a few grates of cheese and put under the grill again to melt the cheese. It was so simple, I couldn't believe I was paying in a restaurant for this. Oh yes, and the free bottle of wine if you order the meal deal...it was possibly the worst cheap wine I've ever had.

The atmosphere was very dim and dreary, as if the whole room was lit up by a few candles. Only two other tables were occupied. Other potential customers were probably warned away by reviews by others...I only wish that I had got that warning.

I wouldn't say it was BAD food, just very simple and bland. Since when does having rice and chilli on the menu establish a restaurant as 'Mexican'?

This restaurant was not at all authentic, and I could just imagine the job application form:

"Waiter/Chef needed. Needs to be friendly and skilled in putting things under the grill and working the oven."
