The Italian Job, Urmston

my husband and i really enjoyed our last visit ...last year. It was my husbands birthday again and i wanted to take him back as our last visit we really enjoyed.

The food was very oily instead of a creamy sauce and my husbands steak was not done the way he asked (as last time but we didn't mind then)

we had to ask for Italian music ...as it is an Italian restaurant ? The music was terrible....sounded like Oasis awful music playing...

The toilets were dirty and not seen detergent for a long time if you look on the hand dryer in the very tiny toilet ..i couldnt work out how to get the soap out of the dispenser...probably because there was none ? I couldnt even move to look under the soap dispenser as it was that tiny the toilet.

A real let down this time .....

The only nice thing we said was the lady waitress who was very bubbly and pleasant and couldnt do enough for us ...we left her a tip.....and said we probably wont be returning there again...unless they lower their prices and up their cleanliness..... it's gone very down hill .

Very bad food.

Pizza was similar to a bought cardboard base and flavourless. So disappointing

The Italian Job is the best restaurant with amazing dishes i ever had in all manchester.

The Italian Job, Urmston is one of my favourite restaurants, great for a family meal or special occasions!

Inflexible, infuriating, reluctant to accommdate to the point I will say I have been going for years and will not be going back.

£5 deposit. I was told my 2 friends (a couple who have just had a new baby) who did not want to put down a deposit in case they had to back out could not be added on to the other 17 people who had paid deposits and if they did not attend deposit or not the group would be charged £10.

My friend argued with a waiter about a hair in her mushrooms. he said it was part of the mushrooms.

The food was not up to the standard I personally expected.

They would not deviate from the set party menu even with a couple of weeks notice - they dont have chocolate cake on the party menu and even though they had 3 weeks notice they would not accommodate even with a pre-order.

Whether a meal for two, for the family or even a big event have always had great meals on one occasion we were not charged for the wine when i mentioned this as i went to pay the bill the manager said for my honesty it was on the house

All 3 of us that went said we would difinitely NOT go again

First time here, service was great, food was really good and tasty also extremley generous portions : ) Everything was lovely and we are definatly going there again. Will probably stay for the disco too this time !!

Where are the opening times on The Italian Job website? Not immediately obvious, but so very important.
