Namaste Indian Restaurant, Cheltenham

I am a food lover, basically from London found this restaurant while I was on project there in gloustershire. I literally had food there every night and miss the food so much till date. Top class food taste.

Used to go the the Gloucester Namaste but had a bad experience once, basically they must have had a part in the back (was mid week also) and we were waiting & waiting & waiting for our food. No one even at the bar, had to go and find a waiter round the back to get drinks. when food arrived, was cold, lacking quality and we could tell it had been stood for ages.

Have "tried" to get into the Cheltenham restuarant on a sunday (As per advertised on the front door opening times), but not open?!

Gave it a few weeks and thought we'd try their lunchtime buffet, as advertised in VERY BIG LETTERS on their window,this time on a saturday. Parked up round the corner (after searching ages for a place),walked into the restuarant and told them "2 for the buffet please".

The waiter looked at me odd and said "menu only", I then enquired "what, we just order of the menu for the buffet?"...he then said "NO buffet.

I showed him the massive sign in the window advertising lunchtime buffet and he told me they dont to it, that must be old!!! I was not happy at this point and also mentioned we had driven a long way to try it. He just again, "we dont do it, normal menu and price only"!

We walked out, both of us very dissapointed but went to the Thai restuarant next door and had a lovely meal, or should i say...lovely buffet, just like what they were advertsing.

No doubt the LARGE sign is still up in Namaste window advertsing the buffet and no doubt people are still wasting their time going in asking for it. Thats when they can get in of course, as it doesnt appear to be open on sunday (as per opening times).

Who knows, it may well be better than their Gloucester restuarant, guess we'll never know though!! SORT IT OUT NAMASTE!!!!

Went with my fiance on the 5th January, had a wonderful meal, staff very friendly, lovely interior, food very nice, and portions very good. Very impressed and will definately be going again!!!!!

I much prefere the nam aste in gloucester, it was much more to my liking, or vinings in gloucester docks

We have ordered 4 times from Namaste and it was delivered within 45mins everytime AND once it was 20mins. I find the quality of the food to be 5/5, as it isn't your usual Indian menu, it has a much more authentic taste. No Negative points AT ALL to comment on.

i spent a lovely evening here with my friends when it first opened, i recommended it to my friends. however, the first time i ordered take away from namaste, i found a piece of metal in my meal.

i thought i`d give them another chance to get it right, unfortunately this was absolutely disgusting - the meal took an hour and 30 minutes to be delivered and was stone cold. i will never eat from namaste again, and i will certainly not recommend them to anyone

We love the Namaste Indian Restaurant. The Food is great, and the manager Raj, does his best to please his customers. We have had Indian meals all over the UK, and the world. However, the food here is fresh, and of the best standard. I work in London, and always look forward to coming home to Cheltenham, for the best Indian, take a way, or meal out. The restaurant is lovely. You can phone up, and select what type of table you would like. The staff our very attentive and the atmosphere is nice.

A 2 course meal at the Namaste Indian Restaurant took 2.5 hrs. We waited for half an hour between the starter and main course with our dirty plates in front of us.

Service seemed terrible and they weren't even very busy. We weren't given any help to choose our dishes, as stated by previous reviewer. The food arrived lukewarm: my husband had to send his main dish back as it was cold.

After clearing the main course dishes (eventually) we weren't even asked if we wanted desserts or coffee. We didn't see a member of staff again until we eventually got fed up and asked for the bill.

always go here if i want to have indian food.
