Absolute Star

79 years of age and still amazing. Some reviews need to realise there jokes not personal comments. Get a life or stay away from BLUE comedians.Watched CRB who got a standing ovation. Well worth the money even for an hour or more. Keep going chubbs. Every credit.

Couldn't Hear Him

Went on Saturday 31st March 2024. Joe L9ngthorne theatre North pier Blackpool. It was terrible ! The sound was awful...you couldn't hear properly so missed virtually every joke. Many many people coming out said the same and all the manager of theatre said was " well I sat in numerous areas and it seemed OK " ... well it wasn't!!!!! Money refund would be only result ....awful night and waste of money.

Fantastic

At Redditch Palace Theatre, Went to see Chubby. You were fantastic, Chubby, and always will be. I've been watching you from 3 years back when I was a 21-year-old on the Tesco night shift filling shelves. They've never stopped staring at Chubs.

Gatehouse Theatre Stafford

I first saw Chubbs in Blackpool back in the eighties.

I decided to take my wife, step daughter and her husband to see him after finding out he was on.

They had never seen him live before so it was a bit of a risk, especially after seeing some of the recent reviews.

I needn't have worried as we all loved the performance.

O.k he's only on for an hour or so, and the support act is nothing to write home about, but for a man who is 75, he was still as good as i remember.

Some people might say he's not politically correct this day and age, but he never was. He is just funny, and a lot of his humour is not meant to be taken seriously.

The people that go to watch him, have probably followed him for years, and will continue to watch him, for as long as he goes on performing.

My Absolute Hero

Went to see Chubby 06/09/2018 at Redditch Palace Theatre.

Chubby, you were fantastic, and always will be.

I've followed you since the 80's when I was an 18 year old filling shelves on the Tesco night-shift.

Have never stopped watching Chubs.

People are quick to critisize about the content of your jokes, but in reality, you tell it like it is.

Well on Thursday night I met my hero, albeit on stage, but it's a night I'll never forget.

Bought your book, your autobiography, in the foyer as we were leaving and have got to say that the first couple of chapters made me really tearful.

Such a hard up-bringing. I can't imagine what it was like for you.

At the end of the show, when you were talking about your life, and the ups and downs, it felt like you were saying goodbye.

Apart from the book, I went back to the theatre the next day and managed to get a poster that the staff had taken down.

Chubs, I will frame it and treasure it forever.

All that leaves me to say is lots of love to you and your wife and the kids.

We only get one life, so make the most of it.

All those years you sacrificed on the road, just to make us laugh will be remembered forever.

Chubs, or I want to say Roy. It's been an absolute honour to see you and know you all these years.

Be happy and keep making us laugh. You are truly the best.

Took my wife to see chubby as she had not seen him before..he is still absolutely fantastic and we laughed from start to finish..read a lot of bad reviews about chubby now ,but that is because of the stupid politically correct world we now live in..only gutted he was only on for just over an hour ,but the tickets are so cheap i cant see how you can grumble.absolutely amazing comedian ,keep up the good work chubby

Racist/mysogynist Diatribe

A last minute booking found me in the audience of RCB tonight @ Cliffs Pavilion (Southend). I left after 15 minutes. I cannot believe how many women were in the audience and actually laughing at these dated, truly offensive jokes. Surely, in 2018 there must be a law banning such performances. Vile.

So why did you go then?

It clearly says 'if easily offended, please stay away'.

How long is his show at Blackpool please? Trying to work out tram times. Thanks.

EdJH

Never mind. It got cancelled because of horrendous winds so the Pier was closed off :(

Next time then I hope.
